The first death is the death of "Self" referred to by Paul when he said it is given to man once to die (to "Self") and then the judgement and Christ said that over such as have died the first death (the completion of daily "Self"-crucifixion) the second death (The Fire) has no power.
When the "Self" is dead the Being; having been reborn (John 3) and having then crucified daily the human "Self"; is resurrected from being under the "Death-Sentence" for insurrection and treason and puts on immortality and Eternal Life again.

What are the similarities and differences between bodily RESURRECTION and immortality of the soul?
Please can someone help me.
I need to highlight the similarities and differences between immortality of the soul and Resurrection of the body.
All I have so far is that they both have spiritual existence in common.
Please help!
Answer: At death the spirit leaves the body and the person goes either to paradise, a place of rest, or spirit prison. Resurrection takes place when the spirit is reunited with the glorified physical body. We may look to Jesus as an example of how this works.
1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
1 Corinthians 15:40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
42 So also is the Resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

Why do most people consider the RESURRECTION of Jesus to be more important than his crucifixion?
Why is Jesus Resurrection more important to Christians than his crucifixion? Surely the main thing is Jesus sacrificing his life to atone for our sins. If anything, the Resurrection diminishes the extent of this sacrifice doesnt it?
Answer: Incarnation (God taking on human form in the person of Jesus Christ) and the Resurrection from the dead of Jesus Christ are the only two events in world history that really matter.
Jesus said he was God and the only way and would prove it by his Resurrection from the dead. His Resurrection proved he was God and thus God exists. If there were just the crucifixion, there would be no proof and no Christianity.

How does the RESURRECTION of the Dead with Cremation work?
Most Christian denominations teach the concept of eternal life after death, provided through the atonement of Christ. It is generally believed that when a persons body dies, the soul is separated from the body and continues to exist forever.
Many of the early Church Fathers cited the Old Testament examples listed in the Judaism section above as either foreshadowing Jesuss Resurrection, or foreshadowing or prophesying a future Resurrection of all the dead.
What happens to embalmed, cremated, decayed bodys?
Answer: Even embalmed, decayed bodies disintegrate after awhile. Cremated and decayed bodies are composed of essentially the same thing--the bones and dust (what's left of the rest of the body matter). The Bible says that our souls leave our earthly bodies when we die, and continue to exist. When the day of Resurrection comes, those who have died will receive a "new body"as they rise to meet Jesus in the air. I have no idea what these "bodies" will be like; there is an example in Revelation in which the apostle John saw Jesus as He was, in a heavenly state. He was recognizable as Jesus, but "His hairs were white like wool, as white as show; His eyes were as a flame of fire; and His feet like unto bright brass, as if they burned in a furnace; His voice as the sound of many waters; His countenance ws as the sun shineth in his strength." (Rev. 1:14-16) John said that the sight of Jesus made him faint "like a dead man". The Bible doesn't describe what happens to people's bodies. Those who are condemned to hell will burn in the lake of fire, and I don't know what form they will take. I do know that for years the Catholic Church would not allow people to be cremated, because it was thought that shortchanged their position of a person's body returning to dust.

Bible Scholars, can you explain the difference between the first RESURRECTION and the second?
Revelation 20:5-6 (KJV)
5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first Resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first Resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Answer: Blessings to all. Sin is creatures saying to the Creator, "My will be done." Damnation is the Creator saying to creatures, "Have it your way." God gives them up (Romans 1:24-32.). Just as their are two kinds of birth and two kinds of death so there are two kinds of people: those who have been born twice and die once and those who have been born once and die twice. "Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first Resurrection; over these the second death has no power." Besides being happy and holy, they will share in the first Resurrection when Christ returns and all the dead will come to life and reign with him a thousand years (Revelation 20: 4,6 Cf. 1 Thessalonians 4:15-7). And even after the millennium they will continue to enjoy God's uninterrupted presence forever and ever (Revelation 21:1-3). Here is part of John's picture of what we have to look forward:
"I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he should not deceive the nations any longer… And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshipped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first Resurrection.
"Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first Resurrection; over these the second death has no power, for they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years" (Revelation 20:1-3, 4-6).
This is awesome, nice question.
Those who have been born twice will die but once, but those who have been born once will die twice. Over them "second death" wields its awful power. It is described in the remaining verses of Revelation 20: "And I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds… And death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire" (Revelation 20: 11, 12, 14, 15).
It is better not to be born at all than not to be born again.
Life without Christ is one hopeless end; but life with Christ is one endless hope. Which will it be for you?

Was the virgin birth and RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ a myth?
This is a very common theme in ancient mythologies and religions. Jesus is the most recent of "deities" to do this "trick".
If you truly believe in the virgin birth and Resurrection, please explain why. How is it not a myth? Why did the first gospel leave this detail out?
Answer: There's a problem with the details of jesus' life.
That problem is that other than the bible, which is clearly biased and contains many unsubstantiated claims, such as the virgin birth, which really should require further proof before accepting them as true, there are no other sources anyone has for those details.
You are however correct in saying that the virgin birth idea was quite common in religious teachings in that area at that time. This is quite likely where the jews came up with the notion (if you accept the translation of "young woman" as "virgin" anyway), and then the details of jesus's birth are clearly made to match the prophecy.
If you doubt the truth of the bible, as you should considering accepting based on blind faith is not usually the means to establishing truth, then you can establish very little about jesus, and certainly nothing about the sexual experience of his mother prior to his birth.
