How did Matt groening get the Simpsons out in the public? Because I have an idea for a cartoon and I would like to get it out in the public!
Answer: You can try sending your cartoons to magazines and newspapers. Send them 6-10 samples of your cartoons with a cover letter and a self addressed stamped envelope so that they can return your work if they don't want it. There is a 90% rejection rate with cartoons, so don't just send them to anyone. Find newspapers and magazines that have the same audience that you think will like your humor. Also, if you have local magazines and newspapers, they might be easier to get published by as opposed to national papers and magazines. Once you are published, you will have more credentials and more papers or magazines will be willing to publish you. You can also make your own self published books and find a store to sell them. The good people at Kinkos or your local copy shop can help you do this. Good Luck

Were the characters in The Simpsons really created by MATT GROENING?

I mean, many of the popular characters had their first appearance in an episode where it was written by someone else (so, not Matt groening). So were they all created by him, or some/many of them were created by The Simpsons writers?
Answer: Matt created the Simpsons and even named the characters after his own family except he named himself Bart. James Brooks only ask him to pitch an idea for a show and now both are considered developers of the show with Sam Simon. I started watching the Simpson shorts when I would watch the Tracey Ullman show which was so cool back in 1987. Never missed an episode. happy new year.

Answer: Matt groening only works on the Simpson sometimes. Most of it has been a studio project since the eighties -- including the design of it. Hey, Peyo himself was more interested in the Jehan strip the Smurfs were a spinoff of. He mostly handled marketing for the Smurfs and the studio is still intact even though he died years ago. Groening's strip is Life in Hell. The Simpsons began as a side project and he keeps going back and forth. Matt groening the studio already does it even when Matt groening the person isn't there and one can assume it will continue when he is no longer there at all.

basically i have extremely developed drawing talents and i want to become an animator like Matt groening or Seth macfarlane. dont say that i have start young because im 15 now and im planning for my future. Answer: Well, here, let's have Seth tell you himself. http://www.hulu.com/watch/3119/life-after-film-school-seth-macfarlane You will need to sign up for a Hulu account...no biggie (make sure to make yourself three years older to be able to view...due to language). Also, it breaks out here and there for commercials, but Hulu is great. I love Seth MacFarlane and think he is wonderful. If that is what you want to be in life, then good for you. I have a 12 year old son and I would support 100% if that is the route he wanted to go. I think one of the biggest things is to get an education in animation or film making. I know that some people who have not had the education have made it, but that is really a rarity. I would suggest education not only to get a foot in from referalls and so on, but then you will always have something to fall back on while waiting for the big break. Also, having the education, you would know all of the technical ins and outs. Being well versed in your trade is priceless. Think about Seth...he has great communication and speaking skills for someone with his type of humor platform. That was the formal education. For this type of work...American schools are probably better. Most of the big dogs in the industry are all in the US. Seth was the youngest ever in his field to be successful for a reason...it is really hard and he was a dream story. I think that this clip (29 min..sorry) will give you a little inside. All the kids there are going to school for animation or film (probably big kiss butts to be able to get to this show, ahahh). Anyway. He tells his story and maybe can give you a little idea. I wish you good luck and honestly hope you do well.

Why doesnt MATT GROENING stop the Simpsons series?

I know that it is Foxs biggest hit but it seems like the writing isnt as good as it used to be. So why is Matt wanting to still continue on producing more episodes when it really should end?
Answer: Compare today's episodes with episodes from, say, the seventh season, and you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference. It's the same stories, the same jokes, the same characterization. But watch the first season again, and you realize once upon a time the Simpsons were an actual family with stories to tell and a reason to waste a half hour a week tuning in to see what would happen next. So why not end it? It's easy money for everyone involved. Fox wouldn't know what to do with itself without the Simpsons. For a lot of young people, the Simpsons has aired as long as they can remember. I mean, it feels like that to me and I'm getting pretty old. Plus they could probably continue it indefinitely at this point. There's so many episodes in the bag, they could probably start splicing audio and animation into entirely new episodes without doing any extra work. And finally, I doubt Mr. Groening needs to put much effort into the series at this point. Why not let others run things while you bring in money. It's not like his other ventures have been nearly as successful.
