Answer: You answered the question yourself - they are dealing with so many injuries. Ozzie has led this team to a World Series title, and has not had a losing season yet. Also - he has the pitching staff doing great. Sure - they are not hitting a thing. But didn't everyone predict here that they would battle for the bottom of the division? So I see it that since they are only a few games out, and have not played well - they are doing great than! What happens when they start hitting?

White Sox fans, how do you feel about OZZIE GUILLEN now versus earlier in the season?

I defended Ozzie earlier in the season and thought a lot of you were not being fair. There were a lot of supporters though to be fair. Ozzie is Ozzie in my opinion. Hes got the Sox 15 games over .500 and one of the better records in the league. Do you like Ozzie or do you want him go at seasons end?
Answer: I like Ozzie, always have. When his team is not performing, he lets them know that it isn't acceptable, and most of the time these loud awakenings are just what they need. I don't care that people say he is loud or rude. He does what it takes to make his team perform to their ability, regardless of what people will think about him, and he has done a great job.

I think its great that he just said what he thought instead of worrying about who wouldnt approve of what he said and all of that kind of crap. Ozzie, being the real man that he is, said what he said and he stood behind it showing great character instead of apologizing or backing down. He knew it wouldnt make too many people happy, but he said it regardless. He knew what kind of backlash he would take from the pansy a-s-s-ed public and the obnoxiously PC media, but he didnt care what they thought. Cowards and weaklings come and go, but real men survive. Women and cowards stab people unknowingly in the back, but real men will punch you right dead in the mouth if they have a serious problem with you and thats the way it should be.

Im 28 years old and i was given a Baseball Bat by Whitesoxs Player, now Manager, Ozzie guillen. It was his actual bat in which he walked up to me and handed it to me. It was maybe about 15 to 20 years ago he gave it to me. Its got his name and number 13 on it. Im trying to figure out if its worth anything or if at all. How do i go about finding its worth and who should i take it to to get it appraised?

And now they are together on the Miami Marlins, and they are known as friends even through they worked for rival teams in Chicago baseball, so who is going to keep an eye on them now?
Answer: It's a time bomb ready to go off. When it does it won't be pretty. I wouldn't count of their friendship when it comes down to player verses manager. Zambrano has a big problem with authority. Guillen thinks he can use filthy language to get his point across. Either way MLB will have a big problem on its hands. Personally baseball would be better off without either one.

Answer: It looks like a bad decision. Ventura hasn't coached so much as a high-school baseball team, and now he's supposed to run an MLB club house? Answer: I'm a lifelone die hard Cubs fan who has been going to games at Wrigley since 1969, and, I hat eto say it, i agree with Guillen to some degree. The bottom line is that Wrigley is 94 years old, and is showing its' age. Compared to the newer stadiums, the tunnels are narrow and dark (and under the stands, as opened to behind them in an open concourse), the parking is an absolute horror, and, infortunately, a good number of the folks attending the games are not true fans, but bandwagon jumpers who spend a good amount of their time in their cell phone, waving to the cameras, and seeing how many Bob Chinn's Mai Tais they can polish off before alcohol sales are cut off. On top of that, the visitor's clubhouse is terribly crowded, the training rooms are less than state of art, and the hitting cage is badly lit. I do find it funny that Guillen complains about the parking - I would think he could afford to hire a cab for 3 lousy games a year. And I know he has said something about the seats his familty has had in the past at these games - funny he hasn't mentioned the fact that Jim Hendry provided Guillen a luxury box for his family and friends today. I think the last few days have shown what a truly classless organization the Sox have become. Kenny Williams all over the media, blasting Cubs fans for not getting excited about the Sox winning the World Series in 2005. Guillen calls Wrigley Field the worst in baseball (guess he manages in Tampa Bay with his eyes closed), then says that, when he and Piniella were filming the commercials they just did together that it "took them 3 weeks to find a double for Lou - for mine, you just go to a model agency," Taking pot shots at a manger , or anyone else, for his physical condition, particularly one who is about 20 yuears older then you, is just plain cheap. And Ozzie, you may be thinner then Lou but I don't think you're gonna be on any most beautiful persons list very soon. The biggest problem with the Sox is that they just can't accept the fact that the Cubs are, and probably always will be, the most popular team in town. In 2005, when the Sox were in first place the entire season, and won the World series, the Cubs outdrew them with a losing team. And in the following season, which is usually when teams that are World series winners draw incredible crowds, they again got out drawn by the Cubs. Perhaps if a little more energy was spent worrying about improving their team, broadening their fan base, and perhaps not acting like they have been beaten like a bastard step-child, they would not have had the complete collapse the last half of 2006, and the disaster that was 2007. Chicago's a big city, and is obviously capable of supporting 2 teams. The sooner the Sox realize that the way to win fans is by improving their product rather then criticizing the Cubs produst, the better off they will be.
