I totally agree with you, I get aggravated at these big churches that do nothing for anyone but themselves, I attended several large churches in hopes that they would have outreach programs, like food pantries, clothing pantries, etc. and not a one of them did anything like that! For example I went to american eagle and they had the same sale prices as 1 week ago but there were many people shopping just because they were thinking that the prices were lower when in fact they were not. I actually went to American Eagle to, and it was completely packed, me and my friend had to wait 5 minutes for a space to open so we were able to leave, and like you said the prices weren't that good, like a regular blue shirt with american eagle on it for $35, that's not exactly a Boxing day price. I went at like 8am and nothing was a really good deal, but at the same time i didn't want to leave empty handed so i ended up buying something that wasn't on sale, the only thing i liked. Answer: I live in Canada (specifically, Ontario). The Best Buy in my city, Windsor, distributed a flyer before Christmas, with the newspaper, that was good for 2 days, December 26th and 27th. There has since been a "Boxing Week" flyer/sale, that has come with the paper, which looks like it goes to the 3rd of January. And, no, the items that were advertised in the "Boxing day" flyer/sale (December 26th and 27th) would not be available via a raincheck. People line up for hours the night before to get some of those items, and they stock very limited quantities. Good luck with your shopping. Answer: I think the conclusion was that it is incalculable - many of the countries affected don't keep adequate records of their population. Estimates are around a quarter of a million people. Affected areas were the countries bordering the Indian Ocean - particularly badly hit was Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Thailand, but the effects were felt as far as Africa. The humanitarian aid bill alone was over 7billion US$. I don't suppose we will ever know the cost to infrastructure and property -particularly in many areas the poorst people were hardest hit.
