Does Grady Sizemore and YU DARVISH make sense for the Washington Nationals?
Grady is the Leadoff CF the Nts desperately need and it looks like the Indians will let him go not to mention he has power and speed!
Are for Darvish, Strasburg needs a wingman in a bad way the best teams in baseball has 1-2 punches! I dont have to say much about his stuff!
Answer: No and no. The Nationals are already over paying for one underproducing outfielder: Jayson Werth. They certainly don't need another albatross around their neck.
As for Darvish, he's a project. If he's signed, he'd likely have to spend a season or two in the minors as a starter or in short relief in the pros, see Aroldis Chapman, Kei Igawa. And when taking into accunt his posting price and his eventual contract, he's going to cost $100 million. He's not worth anything near that.
If you doubt Jordan Zimmerman can be a legit No. 2 starter, just wait and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised how good he is.

Is YU DARVISH coming to America next year, and if so what teams will be going after him?
Probably a big market, big budget team, as in the Yanks, Redsox, Dodgers, Cubs or Angels.
lmao Kevin, ur answer is just amazing, one of the best answers Ive seen on this site in a long time.
Answer: Yep. It really sucks for small ball teams that teams can just go and sign him without having to draft him or anything.
I get the feeling Red Sox or Yanks will be the frontrunners for him.

Who is YU DARVISH and why doesnt he come to America to play for the yankees?
have any team try to sign him from US
Answer: Actually even if he wasn't a free agent a MLB team could buy his contract, if he made the choice to leave that is... if he is a FA then MLB teams have to give Nippon Ham a sealed offer and the highest bidder gets the player and Nippon Ham would get the money as compensation... Seibu did this with Dice K, and then b/c they had all that cash they went out and spent it and won the Japan Series in 2008.
But all that aside... Yu darvish is prolly quite at home in Japan playing Japanese baseball. He is a star in his home country.
I'd figure he could do good in MLB but he prolly likes his home. In fact, I think he has the best stuff in the world right now. One could spend hours watching him in awe on Youtube.
I haven't heard of anyone from MLB pursuing him... I'd be willing to bet someone somewhere has talked to his agent about a move to MLB, but nothing came of it.

Anyone heard of the japanese pitcher YU DARVISH?
is he any good and could he make it to the majorleagues?
Answer: YES I HAVE! AND YES HE COULD MAKE IT! But hes not sure if he wants to or not. He is only 20 years old. He is not quite ready right now mentally nor talent wise to play in the MLB. But from what have seen (videos) and what i have heard (uncle is a braves scout) He is one of those 5 pitch pitchers. Though right now he only has command and uses 3 of them affectively. He like everyone has a fast ball that he throws between 92-94 MPH and has most command over his fast ball. But also in his arsenal that he uses decently affectivly he has a Slider and a Knuckle-Curve. He has about average command over those 2 pitches but uses his Knuckle-Curve very affectivly and is said to be his best pitch. He also throws a change-up and a sinker but dosent have great command over them. He has all the potential in the world and has been compared to Joba of the Yankees in a lot of ways. Tho i believe Joba throws harder and has great command over his pitches, but Yu darvish is only 20 and has a lot of potential and upside. His fram also show potential for more velocity on his pitches in the future one he fills out completly because he is only 20...

Is YU DARVISH arguably the best pitcher in the world right now?
I know most people would say that Japanese baseball is not as talented as American baseball but I still think Yu darvish, only 24, could be really great in the US.
Look at his career stats- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yu_Darvish
BQ: Do you see him leaving Japan to play baseball in the US? If so when and how much do you think he could get paid?
Answer: He may be. It's hard to compare American vs. Japanese players.
I don't buy the conventional wisdom that American baseball is unilaterallly better than Japanese baseaball. I think there's more variation between the best and worst players in the Japanese leagues, but I think it's very close in talent level to MLB. Admittedly, though, it is hard to take a league seriously if it includes teams named the "Softbank Hawks" and the "Ham Fighters."
But Darvish has dominated that league. He's led the league in WHIPs for 4 years and ERA for the last two. And the man is only 24. He has a great future ahead of him.
BQ: I'm sure some MLB team will throw $70 million or so at him in the next few years. Maybe not the Red Sox, though, since they've been burned by Japanese pitchers in the past.

Why did Japan use YU DARVISH at the 9th inning of Japans win over USA sunday?
I just thought this was wierd, 5 run lead in the 9th I would not use my star pitcher which could start on monday against korea. I also thought it was a bit wierd how they took Dice-K off after just 4 innings of good work. Do you think they will use darvish against korea as a relief in case Iwakuma fails?
Answer: For the championship game, they are going to start Iwakuma. I also thought it was a little weird that they would put in Yu darvish, when it was almost clear that Japan would win, and also with the fact that the next day is the championship game, which is itself more important. As the other answerer says, I also think this was for exposure.
I do not think it was weird at all how they took Dice-K off after 4 good innings, like you say. He threw the ball 98 times, and he was clearly showing some signs of fatigue, such as his arm position, if you looked closely. I think the Japanese management just wanted fresh arms.

YU DARVISH, Aroldis Chapman, or Stephen Strasburg: which big-time pitching prospect would you most want?
Id go with Darvish. Hes got an arsenal, whereas Chapman seems like he just has that fastball... Strasburg is well, a highly tauted pitching prospect taken first in the draft... and those never seem to pan out...
Also, Darvish has already proved promising against big league hitting. He pitched against the Cubs in that exhibition before the WBC and he impressed them.
Answer: Only one of these will ever be a successful big league pitcher,
I like your choice best as he seems to know already how to pitch and has a really good fast ball. (It moves) plus a decent curve. If he can come up with either a good change or splitter, he will be devastating.
