The Hobbit? I want to hear some opinions.?
So The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is release Christmas 2012, I personally have huge hopes for this movie. Since it is the the first part of a prequel to the critically acclaimed Lord of the Rings trilogy. I have complete faith in Peter Jackson, no doubts. Then part 2 will release (There and Back Again) Christmas 2013, which I think the expectations will depend on how the first one does.
My answers are in the parentheses, So my question for you guys are,
Are you excited for these two films? Why or why not? (YES, whats not to be excited about? Its the follow up to one of the best three films ever)
Do you think the Oscars will recognize them, being that the Trilogy won numerous awards? If so what categories? (Probably technical, maybe best director, possibly best picture)
Do you think any records will be broke, box office wise? (Hmmm, hard to say)
All this is speculation, a trailer needs to come out and reviews to see if anything im talking about is important lol. I am just super stoked for these films, ive been waiting for 6 years!
Answer: I am not.
They probably will win a few Oscars, but I don't think they'll deserve them. In the same way that LOTR didn't.
No, I doubt any records will be broken, except the boring dialogue in all of the movies, which resembles a broken record.

What movies which will be released in future are you waiting to see?
Im waiting for:
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)
The Hobbit: There and Back Again (2013)
These could be ok too:
Avatar 2 (2014)
Avatar 3 (2015)
How to Train Your Dragon 2 (2014)
Constantine 2 (2012)
Answer: When I saw your question, the first and only thing that came to mind were The Hobbit movies. I'm not looking forward to much else, Hollywood is really bad right now. I'm kind of curious to see what they do with The Amazing Spider-Man.

The Dark Knight Rises
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
Django Unchained
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)
The Avengers
BQ: What was the most recent movie you saw in theaters and rate it 1-10
BQ2: What was the most recent movie you saw in the theaters that disappointed you?
BQ3: What do you think was the best movie of 2011?
Answer: sup Kevin
Lincoln
>> This one hopefully is good, it's a Spielberg movie so I think I'll like it. Not a fan of Joseph Gorden Levitt, but hopefully it is something more than the average biopic released around Oscars season.
The Dark Knight Rises
>> I am excited for this, but what this movie needs is a memorable villian and the complex morality that was present in TDK. If it has that, and can expand on that, I think we have the best movie of this decade so far
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
>>> Mixed expectations. I'm expecting a more lighthearted LOTR with a sense of humour, which people say is essentially what the hobbit is. I really don't want to be disappointed
Django Unchained
>> Really? Rather low. Not a fan of anyone in the cast, really it just sounds something like Unforgiven.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)
>>>High. Brilliant director, great cast. But can it top the original film, which was a masterpiece? Who knows. Hopefully it comes and becomes the best film of 2011, because this year really needs one.
The Avengers
>>> Joss Weddon from Buffy is directing, so high expectations. Hopefully it reinstales hope within the superhero genre, but I have doubts something is going wrong.
BA: The Help, 8/10
BA2: I can't remember, haven't been in ages
BA3: Have seen hardly any, haven't seen Drive, but I guess Super 8.

WHAT DO YALL THINK OF DIS ESSAY?
I had to COMPARE stuff from a narrow topic and i chose to compare the characters JANE EYRE AND BILBO BAGGINS \
READ IT AND WEEP BUT NOT LITERALLY I HOPE my writing isnt that bad oKAY
Jane Eyre and the Hobbit- Paper One
Jane Eyre, from Jane Eyre by Charolette Bronte, is a woman who defies expectations set up by her time and location. We encounter a similar theme at the beginning of The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien. Let’s take a while to search out the differences, and similarities, in these two works. Take Jane Eyre. Her uptight English upbringing gives her no time for games, and with Mrs. Reed as her cruel aunt, poor Jane gets little time for fun of any kind at all. It’s a good thing she preferred to pick up a book than play with her prejudiced cousins, although her solitude might have played a part in her blunt demeanor later on. Although, what if this has been a good thing? Without the comfort of a solid, well-paid family to rely on, Jane Eyre had to venture out into the world, and transform into the woman she was at the end of the book. There’s no denying she had a great sense of adventure, as well as a thirst for knowledge, and a drive that let her keep going on, to a point which many others would not have reached. A great example of this is when Jane brought herself to leave Mr. Rochester’s home, with the full intention of never looking back. It took severe willpower to keep walking on until she reached a proper new town, days later. Her independence leads her to pursue an active career and a busy lifestyle as best as she could, even though she had the norms of Victorian society set against her! When women were expected to marry and stay home the majority of the time, Jane freely sought new opportunities to get knowledge and experience in the outside world, without considering marriage as her first priority. I think Jane Eyre is a great figure to look up to, and a splendid role model for girls everywhere.
On the subject of our second character, Bilbo Baggins, allow me to say again that I consider him to be someone with many similarities and differences to Jane Eyre. Raised in a comfortable hobbit-hole, within reach of (almost) anything of his heart’s desire, Bilbo is well-off without many reasons to venture further into his world. That’s just it! Even without the bleak childhood Jane encountered, Bilbo was urged to go off alone, with only a few others to help him, and accepted. While most other hobbits would have stayed content in their homes and peacefully lived out their days, Bilbo goes on at the promise of adventure! Sure, he didn’t exactly jump at the opportunity, but he did say that there was a Tookish part of him that wanted to go with Gandalf and embark on a journey. Like Jane, Bilbo was not looked upon as a likely candidate for his experience, as he was a Hobbit, and a Hobbit going adventuring was questionable. Not only was it questionable, it was unexpected! Chances are, if you were to walk over to The Shire in an alternate universe scenario where Bilbo had not announced his absence, gone up to a random Hobbit, and said “so did you hear about that lad Bilbo who went out on a quest with a wizard and a couple of dwarves?”, the most likely response you would get would be a “wait.. what? You must have made a mistake, we don’t go out on quests! You must have him confused with an elf, or a man!” Compare this with the fact that most figures who really “got out there” In Jane’s time did not have a lot of the traits that we now associate with Jane.
So let’s take these two brave souls and compare, as well as contrast them. I’ve used the word “adventure” a lot in this essay, but I do think the point was an important one to make. Their approach to actually accepting said adventure was different, however, with Jane going out to look for one, and Bilbo having another thrust upon him. But the point is, both unlocked a thirst for unusual deeds and happenings. Their intentions for undertaking their respective quests were comparable, as well. Neither went out with a wanting for evil powers and destructive mannerisms. They were simply longing for good! Bilbo wanted to protect citizens from a greedy dragon (and, yes, get himself some gold), and while Jane’s goals were not so wide-spread, she wanted to gain knowledge and put it to a fair, kind use, as in teaching students. There’s also the fact that both parties exhibit a fairly optimistic nature, with their hopes high and their chins up.
But let’s not forget how different Jane and Bilbo’s circumstances were, too! One of the most prominent points to contrast would have to be the setting. K NOW THE TEXT LIMIT HAS BEEN REACHED WHAT DO YOU THINK OF WHAT I TYPED

Chapter: 1
Unexpected Party
Bilbo Baggins, the hobbit that despises riskiness and adventure had been selected upon by Gandalf, to take part in a journey. A journey in which no one desires to take. When Gandalf inquires of Bilbos participation, undoubtedly Mr. Baggins declines. On the account of Gandalf doesnt respect Bilbos decision to descend upon his offer, he whittles a unique symbol upon the door. This anomalous emblem indicated the dwarfs to engage in a gathering at that specific place. Without a doubt, Mr. Baggins wasnt knowledgeable of this accusation. It is beyond question that he would have ceased these allegations immediately. Furthermore the next morning Bilbo was apprehensive of Gandalfs re-visiting the night before, as he had been informed, but had forgotten over the course of night-fall. When the doorbell had sound the next morning he scurried to the door to greet Gandalf but was astonished by his findings when the door was ajar.
how does it sound? Is it ok? is there anything i should add? add anymore vocab? please help
i know its the wrong category but i love this category and its ah-mazing so why nott? just try and help if you can?
i hatee it too :( but i have to cause of my stupid teacher uggghh herrr! ;D
Answer: Just a couple of points. You use passive voice far too much. For instance, instead of saying "but had forgotten" you might try "but forgot." The word accusation is probably the wrong word choice, but perhaps invitation would work better. In the sentence with the word allegations, it is unclear who "he" is and exactly to which allegations are you referring. I like the style quite a bit, but perhaps these adolescent changes will make it even better.

BQ: Can you name a movie thats going to be released that you already know is going to suck massively?
BBQ: Agree or disagree- Marlon Wayans only good movie is Requiem For A Dream?
Hey everyone Ive got another one open on my profile, so just answer that one instead :)
Answer: I might see the Startrek sequel and the The Hobbit, but definitely The Dark Knight. The ones I'd check out on DVD are J. Edgar, Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Spiderman, Seven Psychopaths sounds is a interesting title name too, I haven't seen the first Avatar so I don't know about the sequel yet.
BQ- Spy Kids 4, Halloween 3D. If 3D is in the title it will suck.
BBQ- Strongly agree
