SAINTS???????
How did people become Saints? I mean did someone decide that they will should be Saints after they died or was it something certain they did that made them Saints?
Answer: . In the Bible, the Saints are on earth. In Roman Catholic teaching, a person does not become a saint unless he/she is “beatified” or “canonized” by the Pope or prominent bishop. In the Bible, everyone who has received Jesus Christ by faith is a saint. In Roman Catholic practice, the Saints are revered, prayed to, and in some instances, worshipped. In the Bible, Saints are called to revere, worship, and pray to God alone.

What happened to all the statues of the SAINTS and Mary in many newly built Catholic Churches today?
Seriously ... what happened to all the Statues and Saints in many of the newly built Catholic Churches. It seems as though that many parishes these days no longer have statues of the Saints and Mary anymore. Why?
Answer: Statues are not as important to Catholics as the iconoclastic Gnostic cults make them out to be. They are not objects of worship, they are objects of devotion that helps ascend the mind to God. It's almost impossible to explain the biblicity of religious statuary to a narrow minded brain washed bigot who did poorly in high school.
It may be that the liturgical designers of churches are still able to make the new churches in keeping with modern ascetics without losing the message that the people of God on earth are one with the people of God in heaven. Catholicism is not a broken home.

How can the Lions beat the SAINTS on national television on Sunday night without their star Suh?
And is Chris Houston, Louis Delmas and there well improved running back Kevin Smith still out?
Its going to be tough but I honestly think the way the Lions will win is to control the clock and keep the Saints offense off the field. Anything can happen in the NFL.
Answer: I agree. Keeping the Saints offense off the field will be HUGE. We still are pretty good on the d-line with Avril, KVB, Fairley and Williams. Also Young and Hill look good.

How come only Catholics seem to get to be SAINTS and perform miracles?
How come only Catholics can perform miracles, which is the reason the Pope uses to justify making new Saints?
The Pope has declared one and proposed two more Saints since he became Pope. It appears he reviews the lives of people years after they have died, and looks for evidence that they accomplished a miracle. Only one miracle required.
Dont protestants or Jews or Muslims ever perform miracles? I have never heard of one, which seems odd if Catholics perform so many.
Answer: Saints are decided by the Catholic Church. Go figure.

Whats the difference between patron SAINTS and ancient pagan gods and goddesses of stupid crap like fertility?
patron Saints are those Saints who like specialize in some kind of BS. ie sts cosmas and damian are patron Saints of hairstyles and hairdressers
ancient pagan gods and goddesses of thinks like fertility, crops, military etc etc etc
then you have catholics who PRAY to patron Saints... just like people way back when prayed to certain gods and goddesses for help in a certain area
how are they different?
Answer: I don't see how fertility is "stupid crap"...unless you regret being born, and if that's the case, I feel sorry for you. If your parents weren't fertile (naturally or artificially so), you would not have been conceived. But thank you for pointing out the hypocrisy of Catholics who pray to their Saints and call our gods demons at the same time (not all Catholics...just those who actually do this).
Venus Bless (one of those goddesses of that stupid crap called fertility)

How many people will be back on the SAINTS bandwagon after their dvision game?
Being from Louisiana it is said that the Saints have been working on a new playbook for the playoffs for the past month. It is also said that the Saints is playing possum not to show their had.
AS we witness yesterday. The Saints have ran their first Wildcat off the season.I really think the Saints will surprise alot of people that have given up on them. The Saints will be a full strength since the first time since week 8.
Answer: With the length of their injury list vastly shrinking, I see them returning to their dominating ways. A lot of NOLA fans are just used to getting their hopes up, and being let down. I prey that the fans wake up before the first playoff game, because they need a boost of confidence.

How will the New Orleans SAINTS play during the regular season?

Answer: The Saints will deffinetely be a good team to watch this year. Drew Brees performed incredibly well last year, and the preseason is only looking better.
Their defense like you said is also looking good with the turnovers.
The Saints are deffinietely the team to pick for most of the games, and will reach deep in the playoffs this year.

How great is the secondary for the SAINTS?
On my previous question I asked "How long will the Saints suck". One or the Saints fans replied that I needed to do some research and that the Saints secondary is actually not bad.
How awesome is a secondary that gives up 244.6 yards per game ans is ranked 27th in the NFL out of 32 teams? 27 out of 32 is awesome, Saints secondary is the best!
Answer: our secondary is decent..not great but not horrible..the secondary was horrible last year mainly because we couldn't generate much of a pass rush but this year we've already got at least 12 sacks so that's helped the secondary up to this point..its a long season and we'll have plenty of opportunities to improve

Who were some females of a royal family that became Catholic SAINTS?

Answer: St. Dymphna who was a princess is also a martyr. She lived during the 7th Century and was Irish. Her father was a pagan king and after his Christian wife died, he was eager to find a replacement both equally beautiful and talented as his wife. His evil advisors told him to marry his daughter Dymphna who was both equally beautiful and talented as her mother. Driven by grief and mental illness, the king sought out his daughter but she fleed from her home with her priest St. Gerebernus and court jester and his wife to Gheel. The king killed the priest and begged Dymphna to marry him, but she refused and he killed his own daughter - Dymphna is the patroness of mental illness.
St. Elizabeth of Hunagry was a princess. She learned about Christ through Franciscan monks and learned the works of St. Francis of Assisi, then started to live among them. Her husband supported her choices as well. After her husband's death, Elizabeth became a Catholic nun and lived her life well until her death. She is the patroness of Patron services, tertiaries, widows, and young brides.
St. Agnes was of noble birth, though not a princess, but was a martyr.
St. Cecilia was of noble birth too and a martyr.

What virtue will the SAINTS exhibit in contrast to those enslaved by the beast?
And what is its importance?
Revelation 13:10
He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the Saints.
Answer: Simple: faith and patience. The importance is that it will gain them their souls, instead of having them be lost.
The Orthodox Study Bible says to use the word "destined" instead of lead, and killeth. If you are destined for captivity, you will go into captivity. If you are destined to be killed by the sword, you will be killed by the sword.

I really want to get educated about the Saints of old, particularly Orthodox Saints, though Im open to all. Ive already begun studying people like Teresa of Avila.
