Is SHARIA LAW a bigger threat to democracy than Communism and National Socialism?
Sharia law can sneak in under the radar and hide behind freedom of speech and religion laws. Also, they can get away with enforcing it by using "Political Correctness" against its host nation.
Answer: Sharia law has no place in western societies and should never even be considered as even in its most moderate interpretations it does not treat women as the equals of men. Women are considered second-class citizens and have no rights at all.
Religion freedom is all well and good as long as beliefs and practices adhere to the western laws already in place. There should be no allowances made using 'freedom of speech' or 'political correctness' or 'freedom of religious expression'.
There should be one rule/law for all, not different rules/laws for religious minorities and if these rules/laws are broken then they should face the full penalty of the law ... and if they don't like it they can go back to where they came from!
This should not just apply to extremist Muslim beliefs but to other extreme religions such as the Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses etc.
Communism and national socialism(fascism) are both in your face philosophies and don't sneak in by stealth but by revolution.

Sharia law.........................?
1what is Sharia law?
#2what affect would Sharia law have on no Muslim familys?
#3what are the issue with sharia
#4 do you support Sharia law and why?
Answer: 42:21 Or do they have partners who decree for them a sharia which has not been authorized by God? If it were not for the word already given, they would have been judged immediately. Indeed, the transgressors will have a painful retribution.
These clergymen who arrogated themselves and falsely claimed to be the "ulama" (people of knowledge), polluted the message of islam with ignorance. They fabricated numerous sharias (laws), prohibitions, veils, beards, turbans, rules on how to clean one's bottom, rules on how to pee in the bathroom, toothbrushes, right hands, left hands, right feet, left feet, hadiths, sunnas, intercession, holy hair, holy clothes, holy teeth, holy feet traces, hazrats, lords, saints, mawlas, mahdies, innocent emams, orders, sects, rosaries, amulets, dreams, holy loopholes, prayer caps, circumcisions, shrines, extra prayers, extra prohibitions, and numerous Arabic jargon such as mandup, mustahap, makruh, sharif, sayyid and more nonsense. Thus, the makers and followers of madhabs and fiqh contradicts the divine laws in nature and scripture, and condemns its sincere followers to misery and backwardness. The religious leaders and their political allies contribute greatly to the backwardness of the Muslim world. Allah Almighty now wants to reform us and open the path of progress with the message described as "one of the greatest" (74:30-37).

How can any Islamic Country be democratic when it practices SHARIA LAW which does not give women equality?
All these so-called Arab Spring countries claim they want freedom with one breath and with the next they elect Islamic parties that advocate Sharia law. Women do not have equal rights under Sharia so they can not be democratic.
Answer: Islam and democracy are to opposites, they don't work together, they are not compatible; just like it's happening currently in the western countries, where muslims exploit and take advantage of democracy and still have the courage to criticise western society with its values and customs.

How will the demise of Colonel Gaddafi allow SHARIA LAW to flourish and benefit the population in Libya?
Now that Colonel Gaddafi is dead it seems that Sharia law is on its way so what do the Libyan people now have to look forward to and will they really be any better off?
Would you prefer to live under Sharia law or live your life according to the Bible?
Answer: I would prefer to live in a civil democratic society irrespective of the label, Sharia, Bible, Bhagavat Geetha,..........or any such other spiritual scripture formulated according to the socio-economic-cultural-spiritual-historic background. It may be revel ant for individuals but not for a mosaic society.
For the Libyan people, only the first chapter of the struggle is over. They have to be watchful and strong to see that their brothers and sisters shed the blood not in vain.
Meanwhile I don't have much hope in the West Asian context. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

How would a charge of aggressive battery in a western-law court differ in a Sharia practicing court?
I am researching a paper upon western law verse Sharia law. I understand western law and the hypothetical scenario i am researching would probably receive a verdict of aggressive battery within a western court. If a similar case of physical damage was presented to a court practicing the Sharia legal system how would the sentence vary? This may be confusing but any explanation given will be greatly appreciated.
Answer: You should buy the Sharia law manual, Reliance of the Traveller.
Under sharia, if a victim is injured intentionally by someone, then they have 2 choices. 1) They can inflict the same injury on the agressor (an "eye for an eye" basically, but there are conditions and exceptions, like if a victim was shot, they are not entitled to shoot the agressor, or if they receive a broken bone, they are not entitled to break the agressor's bone. The reasoning behind this is contained in the link below); or 2) They can accept indemnity (blood money, or "diya") from the agressor. If a Muslim kills or injures a Jew or Christian, they (or their family, if the victim is dead) are entitled to 1/2 the amount that a Muslim victim would be entitled to. If the victim is a Zoroastrian, he is due 1/15th the amount of a Muslim. A victim of any other religion is not entitled to any justice because Islam does not allow any other religions besides Judism, Christianity and Zoroastrian to exist under Shariah. If a person is of a different religion that these (known as "people of the book", then their life is forfeit). If the victim is a woman, she is entitled to 1/2 the amount that a male of her respective religion is due.
In cases of murder, If a Muslim murders a fellow Muslim, they the victim's family is entitled to retaliation by killing the agressor. If the agressor is Muslim, and the victim is non-muslim, the victim's family is not entitled to retaliate by killing the agressor. They are only entitled to blood money.
This is all contained in Justice Section o3, which can be found online here:
http://www.defending-islam.com/page389.html
I hope I helped. If you have any more questions, just update your question and ask. However, if you read through the Justice sections of the Sharia law Manual I have linked, you should be all set.

What are some examples of creeping SHARIA LAW in the United States?
I know a lot of Christians are worried about Sharia law and have passed some laws to protect against it. What are some examples of Sharia law creeping in the United States to enslave us all?
Answer: When states recognize Sharia law, they recognize it as subordinate to US law. So you can't cut someone's hand off for stealing or something like that. Generally, it is applied in business dealings between Muslims. If a Muslim were to do business with a regular American, the Muslim couldn't break US law in a business dealing.
People who want to preemptively make Sharia law are all about the noise with little concern about the substance.

What is the likelihood that SHARIA LAW will be imposed on the United States any time soon?
I hear lots of Christians complaining about the "creeping threat of Sharia law" lately. Is Sharia law likely to be imposed on non-Muslims in the United States? And how is Sharia law different from the Jewish Halakha courts already allowed in the US?
Answer: There are exactly TWO chances... slim and none. And I'm putting my wager on none. Islam may obtain more and more followers, even here in the U.S.A., but: even then the U.S. constitution restricts exactly how far Religion can get involved with Government. So, while the Govt can't restrict Muslims from living by Sharia law, they CAN restrict Muslims from enforcing any punishment beyond the basic "kicking the offenders out of the Religion". Fines, imprisonment, corporal punishment, and anything beyond would be totally unconstitutional and not allowed. For them to force the issue would be for them to abdicate their Religious group status and lose all the other benefits that a Religion enjoys in this nation. They may not like it but even IF they became a majority of the population of the U.S. they would still face the very same roadblocks that Christianity faces in trying to make this a Christian Nation. The majority can NOT make the minority illegal and may not discriminate against them in any way whatsoever.
So, as much as Christians hate the fact that the U.S. won't give them special status that also gives them the same protections if/when their majority status changes. It works for them as much as it works against them. Accordingly, they should just shut up and let things rest the way they are for they may very well unleash all the "winds of Pandora's Box" and bring about their own demise.
Brightest Blessings,

What is the equivalent of Sharia law in Christianity? Answer: There really isnt a parallel.
Sharia law is enforced by a theocratic government. Christianity does not promote nor endorse a theocracy.
I know the faithless here dogmatically preach Christians want a theocracy, but that is simply not true. And the laws of the OT apply to Jews.

SHARIA LAW?
Im a little confused by the Sharia law in Islam. Ive seen heated debate (Well, damn near fist fights) about these laws. For example, one conservative Imam and a more liberal Muslim were arguing that this girl, who wanted to be a fashion designer. The conservative chap wanted her to be punished as it is, apparently, an offence to draw human features. The other was arguing for a more relaxed interpretation. My points are: 1. how can there be understanding (and therefore peace) between the West and Islam if there can be no understanding or consensus between Muslims over Sharia law? Two, how can Muslims integrate with western civilisations if what we consider normal is sacrilegious to certain elements of Islam?
Answer: I think it's fair to say that Christianity has the same issues. On the one hand, you have your basic Prebyterian-types - not overly zealous, nice people, pretty middle of the road. Then you have the fringe elements like LDS and JW - groups that SOME Christians would say are not really Christian at all. Then you have the more conservative groups - Catholics & Anglicans - and the nutters like Warren Jeffs' crew and Fred Phelps' band of thugs. If we were to have a theocracy in America, these factions could very quickly become seriously problematic. I mean, some small town in east Podunk, Utha elects a Warren Jeffs and suddenly women have no rights there, etc. It's all based primarily on the same Bible, but the interpretations vary WIDELY.
The same is true for Shairia Law. On the one hand, some scholars will tell you that it was designed primarily to protect women from being made 2nd class citizens by patriarchy, but in the hands of governments, the very rules that were meant to protect them have become bastardized and are now opressing them. For instance, in order to prove a woman had sex outside of marriage, there must be 4 witnesses who saw the actual penetration WITHOUT INVADING THE PRIVACY OF THE PEOPLE INVOLVED. So basically, they would have to do it in the streets in order for it to be punishable, other wise, they say "it is not for us to talk of," meaning "keep your nose out of other people's business. But then the governments have applied the 4 witness rule to rape. Obviously, no one rapes someone in plain sight, so there is no proof. That was not the intent of the Law, from my understanding.
Have I helped at all? I am not a Muslim, so please keep that in mind... most of my information came from an article someone posted on a question I asked about Sharia law.
Bright Blessings!

If people consent to arbitration under the law, how is that different than consenting to Jewish law, Sharia, Mormon law, or any other religious law in an ADR setting?
EDIT: I disagree. Id say any of it that doesnt conflict with the Constitution or other laws.
Answer: using your example of "so long as it did not conflict with the constitution " is a good example as pretty much EVERY aspect of Sharia law goes against it then things will be just fine and they can NOT ram that chit down the throats of the USA as they are doing daily in the UK..............

Is a law or amendment banning SHARIA LAW in the United States constitutional?
In what ways do the two differ, in what ways are they the same? Sharia law, and constitution of United States, that is.
Discuss how freedom of speech and sharia conflict. Does someone or some group being "offended" by what is said make it illegal to say that thing?
Answer: The enabling clause of the U. s. Constitution BY which each State makes its own Constitution, demands that any law of the States MUST be republican in nature and in agreement with the principles of the U.s. Constitution, or was never a law from its conception. Sharia law can only be embodied in American law insofar as it Agrees with the Supremacy clause of the U.S Constitution. After carefully studying it we find its NOT: in virtually all its points. So that any person who finds them being charged under it can simply go to the Constitution of the U.s. and their State to get that charge or conviction dismissed. IN a perfect world where the Rule of LAW exists , this is what we could expect. In the whacked out world of Martial law and executive orders, which we find ourselves in today, where nothing is certain .. we have a very real danger that of we keep electing tyrants and muslims like Obama to the chief executive office, that they can override the Constitution and install such laws by executive orders. This CORPORATE system of laws has been unfettered from the "Chains of the Constitution" (See Thomas Jefferson for the quote) and as such is treasonous by its very nature.

Are punishments in SHARIA LAW considered to be an infringement of human right under international law?
If so how are conflicting laws between states resolved? And if Sharia law is violating human rights, how come its not eliminated?
Answer: Yes, many of the punishments of Sharia law are considered violations of human rights under international law. For example, cutting off the hand of a thief, flogging, stoning, etc. "International law," however, is binding in a particular nation only to the extent that a nation is willing to give it effect. So, a country that is under the control of Sharia law adherents merely ignores the international agreements and continues its own way.
