I know this is kinda old news but i didnt get a chance to ask before.. so the Celtics have been talking to the knicks about acquiring Nate robinson... the knicks want a first round pick and a player.. i personally think this is too much for an old PG, but i think that he can make a good contribution to the team. your thoughts? do you think the trade will happen? Answer: I'm a Knicks fan and I can assure you the Knicks never asked for a 1st Round trade request cause the Knicks can't own a 1st round pick because of the stipulations made between the Suns and the Knicks in the horrible Stephon Marbury to NY trade. The trade stated that NY will get Stephon Marbury, Penny Hardaway, and Cezary Trybanski (who was waived). For Antonio McDyess, Charlie Ward, Howard Eisley, Maciej Lampe, NY's 2004 1st round pick , and NY's 2010 1st round pick. That 2010 pick was traded away by the Suns to the Utah Jazz, so the Utah Jazz own NY's 2010 1st round draft pick. Therefore, if Boston ends up giving one to NY it'll have to go to Utah. The only player I'd take from Boston for Nate robinson is Marquis Daniels or some alright expiring contract Boston has. I don't care if we trade Nate. Nate sucks he's one of the most 1 dimensional (if even that) NBA players. He is a knucklehead: terrible FG%, forced shots, terrible defense, and terrible decisions. Category: Basketball

His size was a negative if anything, and is probably why other teams passed on him. 2. Nate robinson's rookie contracr was only 2 years and worth about 2 million. Last year the Knicks exercised their team option and signed him for an extended year and again this year. All in all he's made about $3,556,320 to date not including what he will make this season which is $2,020,178. He will sign a new contract either with New York or someone else after this season.
