What news media will first cover the 2nd coming of Christ?
So far from asking questions here on Yahoo Answers R&S, I have gleaned the following information on Jesuss return to earth....
Hell make a short appearance to the just ones (Daniel 7:9–10, 13–14 ) then he will appear in Jerusalem on the Mount of Olives, the same mount where he left the apostles. (Zechariah 12:10 ; 14:2–5 )
He will appear on a white horse and with red clothing. Revelation 19:11–13
Before the Lord Jesus descends openly and publicly in the clouds of glory, attended by all the hosts of heaven; before the great and dreadful day of the Lord sends terror and destruction from one end of the earth to the other; before he stands on Mount Zion, or sets his feet on Olivet, or utters his voice from an American Zion or a Jewish Jerusalem; before all flesh shall see him together; before any of his appearances, which taken together comprise the second coming of the Son of God—before all these, there is to be a secret appearance to selected members of his Church. He will come in private to his prophet and to the apostles then living. Those who have held keys and powers and authorities in all ages from Adam to the present will also be present” (Bruce R. McConkie, The Millennial Messiah, 578–79).
So, what media outlet will be the first to take cameras to see Jesus on his horse?
Answer: That's some creepy ****.

What happens when Generation Y inherit the planet from the remaining Generation X?
Im curious to see politics thoughts on this eventual outcome.
Generation Y, also known as the Millennial Generation (or Millennials), Generation Next, Net Generation, Echo Boomers,, Harry Potter Generation describes the demographic cohort following Generation X. There are no precise dates for when the Millennial generation starts and ends, and commentators have used birth dates ranging somewhere from the mid-1970s[6] to the mid 1990s, with some sources including as late as the early 2000s. Members of this generation are called Echo Boomers, due to the significant increase in birth rates through the 1980s and into the 1990s, and because many of them are children of baby boomers. The 20th century trend toward smaller families in developed countries continued, however, so the relative impact of the "baby boom echo" was generally less pronounced than the original boom.
Characteristics of the generation vary by region, depending on social and economic conditions. However, it is generally marked by an increased use and familiarity with communications, media, and digital technologies. In most parts of the world its upbringing was marked by an increase in a neoliberal approach to politics and economics. The effects of this environment are disputed.
Worldwide, Generation Y is considered slightly less religious than the generations before, and far less trusting of the major religious institutions.

How will radiation affect most of the people who use electronic media today?
As people continue to become more and more reliant upon electronics, like TV, computers, phones, radios, ipods, etc., would one not expect todays millennial generation to receive lots of radiation in the next 20-30 years? Today, people are spending almost 11 hrs. per day with electronic media, so will the future prompt people to step back a little and to perhaps rely less on it?
Answer: The radiation that we are exposed to from common household appliances and electronics is by and large safe. However, the FDA recommends that you stand away from the microwave when you use it. Less well known is that certain kinds of materials we use at home, marble or granite on our kitchen counter tops televisions and laptops emit radiation. It would take extremely long exposures and much higher doses of radiation to affect your health, however.

What do you think of Obamas latest ad?
I read the following from an AP release today:
"Obama campaign manager David Plouffe says: We will respond with speed and ferocity to John McCains attacks and we will take the fight to him, but we will do it on the big issues that matter to the American people."
So, apparently, the first "big issue" that they chose to release is...
"John McCain is mocked as an out-of-touch, out-of-date computer illiterate in a television commercial out Friday from Barack Obama as the Democrat begins his sharpest barrage yet on McCains long Washington career."
This type of complaint seems entirely baseless. It speaks nothing to the issues, and seems like a smear tactic designed to reel in the millennials. Im hoping that this new generation of voters is intelligent enough to pick out the real issues from the garbage that either the dems, the GOP, or the media try to focus on for the next couple of months.
Answer: I laughed so hard when I saw it.

How come the liberals still dont grasp the entire Global Warming Theory aka Climate Change is a hoax?
How do the liberals explain away the Ice Age and the same nutty professors who claimed in 1974 that we were entering another Ice Age?
How can one with a lick of common sense, not be able to read that the global warming theorists cooked their data?
As the evidence of fraud at the University of East Anglias prestigious Climatic Research Unit (CRU) continues to mount, those whove been caught green-handed continue to parry their due opprobrium and comeuppance, thanks primarily to a dead-silent mainstream media. But should the hubris and duplicity evident in the e-mails of those whose millennial temperature charts literally fuel the warming alarmism movement somehow fail to convince the world of the scam thats been perpetrated, certainly these revelations of the fraud cooked into the computer programs that create such charts will.

Could it be that so called "highly intellectual" liberals that still follow Al Gore blindly are not so intellectual as they think they are?
Answer: Because they have been "educated" in the government run "skools".
Because there are so many in that sad state of non-education, those who get their science from movies, and those who believe what a politician says, here is truth about climate change:
Global warming (modified to be "climate change" which covers them no matter _which_ way the average temperature fluctuates) is indeed real and has been documented with ice cores dating back tens of thousands of years.
What is NOT real is the quackery that humans caused (or can even affect) global warming.
The scare tactics being perpetrated upon us are only a money/power grab scheme by bottom-feeder politicians accompanied by their so-easily-led sheeple who take their prattle, even their movies, as hard science.
To find that my statement above is true, follow the money. See just who it is who will profit from the carbon offset, carbon tax, & etc.
Here is truth about global warming:
Global warming is one-half of the climatic cycle of warming and cooling.
The earth's mean temperature cycles around the freezing point of water.
This is a completely natural phenomenon which has been going on since there has been water on this planet.
It is driven by the sun.
Our planet is currently emerging from a 'mini ice age', so is
becoming warmer and may return to the point at which Greenland is again usable as farmland (as it has been in recorded history).
As the polar ice caps decrease, the amount of fresh water mixing with oceanic water will slow and perhaps stop the thermohaline cycle (the oceanic heat 'conveyor' which, among other things, keeps the U.S. east coast warm).
When this cycle slows/stops, the planet will cool again and begin to enter another ice age.
Thermohaline cycle
Warm water is less dense than cold water. One of the ocean currents runs North up the east coast of the U.S.
When this warm ocean water reaches the arctic ocean, it is cooled which makes it become more dense.
The now dense salt water drops to the sea floor and begins its return to the southern loop of its cycle.
Fresh water from meltoff of the northern ice pack dilutes this sea water which makes it less dense.
The diluted, less dense water drops to the sea floor more slowly which slows the entire cycle.
If diluted enough, this circulation stops entirely.
When the circulation stops, then the planet will begin to cool and enter an ice age which will stop the meltoff.
As the salinity in the north Atlantic increases, the water will once again begin to sink to the sea floor and the cycle will restart and our planet will emerge from its ice age and enter another warm period.
That is happening now.
It's been happening for millions of years.
It will change.
The worrisome and brutal predictions of drastic climate effects are based on computer models, NOT CLIMATE HISTORY.
As you probably know, computer models are not the most reliable of sources, especially when used to 'predict' chaotic systems such as weather.
Global warming/cooling, AKA 'climate change':
Humans did not cause it.
Humans cannot stop it.

Is the internet killing religion and churches?
Facebook and modern technology are killing churches
By Brett Michael Dykes brett Michael Dykes – Tue Feb 15, 1:37 pm ET
Despite a recent uptick, church attendance numbers have been declining steadily in both the United States and Europe. Explanations for the trend range from the child sexual abuse scandals in the Catholic church to the antimodern cultural outlooks of fundamentalist and conservative evangelical denominations. But Richard Beck, a professor and experimental psychologist at Abilene Christian University, has advanced a novel theory: He argues that the internet, and specifically the social-networking site Facebook, has eroded the sense of community that people have typically obtained via church membership.
In an essay posted on his blog titled, "How Facebook Killed the Church," Beck writes that the notion of a more porous, just-in-time digital community has taken strongest root among the so-called Generation Y folk--people born in the 80s and 90s who are also referred to as "Millennials"--who obsessively use social media on mobile devices.
Beck originally published the essay last year, to little public notice. In recent days, however, social media observers revived it, passing it around on sites like Twitter, Tumblr, and, somewhat ironically, Facebook. He writes:
So why has mobile social computing affected church attendance? Well, if church has always been kind of lame and irritating why did people go in the first place? Easy, social relationships. Church has always been about social affiliation. You met your friends, discussed your week, talked football, shared information about good schools, talked local politics, got the scoop, and made social plans ("Lets get together for dinner this week!"). Even if you hated church you could feel lonely without it. Particularly with the loss of "third places" in America.
But Millennials are in a different social situation. They dont need physical locations for social affiliation. They can make dinner plans via text, cell phone call or Facebook. In short, the thing that kept young people going to church, despite their irritations, has been effectively replaced. You dont need to go to church to stay connected or in touch. You have an iPhone.
Sure, Millennials will report that the "reason" they are leaving the church is due to its perceived hypocrisy or shallowness. My argument is that while this might be the proximate cause the more distal cause is social computing. Already connected Millennials have the luxury to kick the church to the curb. This is the position of strength that other generations did not have. We fussed about the church but, at the end of the day, you went to stay connected. For us, church was Facebook!
While it is hard to dispute the general reasoning in Becks argument, its not only millennials who are maintaining relationships and building communities online. In fact, a new website logs the sinister reach of the elder set in social media bearing the eloquent name "Oh Crap. My parents joined Facebook." And in full recognition that we are in the midst of a bona fide trend here, "Saturday Night Live" produced a parody commercial for a new product called "Damn It, My Mom is on Facebook!"
Meanwhile, Becks own blog, titled "Experimental Theology," hosts a wide range of comments on the relationship between devotion and social media. One provocative comment suggested that the core concept of divine punishment--a key motivation behind many past generations of church observance--just doesnt resonate with a generation of media users conditioned to customized online experiences.
"Gen Yers dont have the same type of fear of God as earlier generations... and therein lies the problem for the church. The church has not succeeded in roping the Gen Yers in with obligation and guilt and fear to their thing," commenter "Heather G" wrote. "Gen Yers feel un-obligated to anything that doesnt fit their goals, their dreams for the world, etc. If church isnt contextually purposeful to them, they have no compulsion to show up....whereas earlier generations would keep going to churches even if they felt no connection to the church whatsoever, simply because they feared a God who they had been taught REQUIRED that they go to church - they felt they HAD TO.
Answer: Well, even without the Internet, bible fundamentalists are killing all religions and churches.

The Pluto in Scorpio generation, born approximately 1984-1996?
I have a younger Brother and Cousins, Did anyone else notice how friendly and sexual when I say sexual I dont mean active, like they are constantly making same sex jokes of affection to eachother, the younger kids are these days? and how much less they well they all get along? Race or sexuality just isnt an issue, Example: noticed they still have clothes at the mall for my generation, some guys will just NEVER wear pink, your take on this?
The Pluto in Scorpio generation, born approximately 1984-1996, is developing its own generational personality. It is a generation whose older members—teenagers and very early twenty-somethings—are the subjects of much stereotyping: “They’re so profane—every other word has just four letters…and what’s up with all the black clothing…the ‘hoodies’…the dark sunglasses…the car window tinting…the scowling countenances?”
Today’s Pluto in Scorpio generation can be quite off-putting to many older adults. Every generation has its ways of rebelling. The challenging Pluto in Scorpio square to Pluto in Leo (those who were born approximately 1939-1958) means that Baby Boomers—a huge swath of the population—find this generation especially troublesome and difficult.
Raised on R-rated movie dialogue and rap lyrics, the Pluto in Scorpio generation sometimes come across as excessively profane. Most have been exposed their whole lives to a media culture which promotes sex, violence, and celebrity. They are helping to re-invigorate poker gambling and other addictive pursuits. Of course, this is not the whole story. This generation also has--among many other positive qualities--an intense and selfless need to share, perhaps related to Scorpio’s association with the 8th house of shared resources.
The Pluto in Scorpio generation is hooked into the 8th house (a Scorpio house) ideal of shared resources, just as the Pluto in Leo generation embodies the positive 5th house ideals of individuality and creativity. The resources the Pluto in Scorpio generation are beginning to share are their own self-created networks, often connected through digital technology.
Digital networks and online groups like MySpace are a Uranus-Neptune trend. Their use by the Pluto in Scorpio generation aligns with that generation’s emphasis on shared resources. The digital world allows for a shared information resource, in the form of e-pinions, e-mails, text messaging, instant messaging, etc. Today, new music bands and trends are launched via these Pluto in Scorpio digital networks.
A recent New York Times article probes this part of the Pluto in Scorpio generation, whom the reporter refers to as the millennials (a term coined by Neil Strauss and William Howe in their 2000 book, Millennials Rising). In the article, one high-tech company executive stated, "With the technology, the Internet - in terms of being able to facilitate the social networking, which is a big part of this younger group - theres just so much ability to quickly transfer information." A problem with the almost obsessive need to share via instant messaging, text messaging, cell phones, and blogs is that personal identity can become lost. As one young person commented in the article, “Its like, if you dont check your e-mail and you turn off your phone, its almost like you dont exist." If you go to a movie at the local multiplex, note the number of teenagers engaged in silent text messaging on their cell phones during the movie. The subject of the text messaging is often the movie they are watching— how it’s going, how they like it, etc. Although many adults may find this activity to be a public annoyance, Pluto in Scorpio kids are always connected, always sharing.
Projecting ahead, one can envision other shared resources which may figure prominently as the Pluto in Scorpio generation gets older and assumes positions of leadership: economic resources, ecological resources, etc. Since Pluto and Scorpio are both attuned to crises, we can expect that these shared resources will become important as the result of a future generational crisis or series of crises.
I recently read David McCullough’s new book, 1776. Although in 1776, Pluto was in the late degrees of Capricorn, some of the soldiers who fought, led, and died for both sides in the Revolutionary War had Pluto in Scorpio. In 1776, anyone between the ages of about 28 and 40 would have belonged to a Pluto in Scorpio generation. General Nathaniel Greene and Thomas Paine, both with Pluto in Scorpio, feature heroically in McCullough’s book. The third U.S. President and primary author of the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson, was also a member of the Pluto in Scorpio generation.
Answer: The author is being way too sunny about the use of technology, with this generation. The real sharing of information, was first introduced by Pluto in Libra, and their social networking. This is the generation that sort of got the ball rolling, the initiators of new communication (cardinal sign).
Pluto in Scorpio is just more likely to receive the karmic brunt of this, whatever that may be. When I say that, I mean privacy invasion, stalking, a technological bust, censoring, pornography addiction, brain washing, and power dynamics.
The concept of sharing, comes down to power dynamics, which has many different branches. The author, judging by the use of language, seems to completely miss this point.
I think this article is mostly amiss, and seems to be confusing Pluto in Scorpio with Pluto in Libra. Pluto in Libra began the sharing and the dividing. Pluto in Scorpio receives the karmic repayment of the scales, which are forever in flux.
Also, in 1776, they fought a war over taxation. Pluto in Scorpio was being unrightfully taxed. They weren't looking to buddy up, they just wanted their money and out of the control of England. Scorpio is directly linked to taxes.
