Anyone know about a parakeet breeder in GAINESVILLE florida?
I had budgies in Germany, but always bought from a breeder.
I am unable to find a parakeet/budgie breeder in Gainesville Florida.
Please if anyone knows about a parakeet breeder I would highly appreciated if you could let me know.
Otherwise we were planning on checking out the surrounding pet shops. Anyone has any experience with keets from chain pet stores?? Or anyone knows about a bird only store in Gainesville???

But a great site that searchs local breeders is http://www.birdsnow.com/ and also http://www.ebayclassifieds.com/?change=true isn't half bad.
I avoid local petshops that don't specialize in birds. As their budgies are not socialized or handfed/tame. Not to mention they usually come from bad conditions and breeding farms.
Look them up on birdsnow and get in contact with a breeder. Go to their home and check out their set up for yourself :)

I am trying to make up my mind of where to live in Florida. I have 3 options that Ive come up with. Either Tallahassee, Destin, or Gainesville!! Anyone have any information on either or any suggestions. Ive heard of one apartment complex in Gainesville called Tuscan Bend. They looked pretty nice by the pictures they showed online.

What is the best way to fly from Los Angeles to GAINESVILLE?
I am researching online and some sites are suggesting making 2-3 stops. Now I know that there is no non-stop from LA (LAX or Burbank) to Gainesville, but which is the best way to go? Do I fly to Orlando or Jacksonville and take the bus to Gainesville? Is the bus a hassle? Is it better to make 2 layovers and fly directly into Gainesville? Please help, as I will be attending the Univ. of Florida and need to know if travel is going to be a big issue. Thanks in advance.

How do I get Gator games in GAINESVILLE with DirecTV?
I have DirecTV but they dont offer Gainesville local channels. how the heck am I supposed to get gator football games this fall? Anyone else have this problem? what did you guys do? (please dont respond, get rid of DirecTV or dont watch gator games or some other obviously not helping answer)
Also, Ive tried an antenna and it freezes up sometimes and thats not something I want when Ive got people over to watch the game.
Dont need a converter box.. I have an HDTV with built in tuner but good thinking though.

Answer: Gainesville doesnt have to be party central. if you want to join frats and go to bars all the time, sure. but i lived in Gainesville for college and after and it can be nice and low key as well. very warm winters, also hot summers, relatively cheap for florida. beaches not too far away. ive heard good things about charlotte too.
