What do you think of GARY JOHNSON being excluded from the June 13th CNN hosted debate presidential debate?
Despite equal or higher ratings in recent CNN polls compared to other candidates invited, Gary johnson is has been excluded from the June 13, 2011 presidential debate hosted in part by CNN.
I know CNN already stated they wouldnt invite him, my question is asking for opinions/thoughts - not whether or not hell be invited.
Answer: CNN already stated he would not be invited. Might have something to do with him almost coming to tears during the Fox News debate because he didn't think he was getting enough questions. My source includes more of him crying.

Well my thoughts on it are...not to put too fine a point on it....good. Johnson will never even place 6th place in a primary. He is basically "Ron Paul lite" and I don't even want Ron Paul invited. There are way too many candidates that have a reasonable chance to hear from.

My theory is that he is more moderate so both Republicans and Democrats are against him, because of the fact that the the parties are so split that neither agree with the moderates anymore...
Just my theory but does anyone know the real reason or have their own thoughts?
Answer: Because the RNC and GOP currently do not support a woman's right to choose, the legalization of marijuana, gay marriage and many other socially liberal policies that Gary johnson supports in the classic Barry Goldwater style of "the government shall not tell people how to live their private lives attitude." His record for vetoing 750 bills as New Mexico governor also proves him to be a fiscal conservative. Between a social policy that is far more liberal than President Obama (and certainly more fiscally conservative), who has been shutting down medical marijuana dispensaries in California, which he originally campaigned he would not do and his refusal to support gay marriage, Gary johnson is a real threat to unseat Obama from the White House in 2012, and therefore CNN and many other organization who would prefer a progressive liberal in the White House have omitted Gary johnson in the polls and therefore creating a cascade effect to effectively shut him out of the debates.

Has the corporate media done America a disservice by excluding GARY JOHNSON from the debates?
I was watching Gary johnsons new presidential ad yesterday and I actually thought it was decent (I always hate political ads). Made me think that it was a shame that theyve kept this guy out of most of the debates. Even if you dont agree with him hed have offered an interesting perspective. Most of the Republican candidates (besides Ron Paul) have very little differences between them.
Answer: He was in the last debate I watched.
Any of these guys would be a better President than the current one.

Has anyone here heard of Governor GARY JOHNSON?
People say there is a media blackout on Ron Paul... but Gary johnson has far more support and donations so far than Jon Huntsman... yet even Huntsman gets attention nationally.
Whats wrong with Gov. Johnson?
Gary johnson WILL be in the September 7th, and September 12th Presidential Debates on MSNBC and CNN.
Answer: Ron Paul and Gary johnson the last true conservative politicians or at least the last two candidates living in reality who actually have their own convictions about what they believe in. They should eventually combine forces, but right now there needs to be more than one person in the debates.
Notice how Gary isn't ever allowed to be in the debates. This is done on purpose to make Ron Paul's positions appear isolated and not mainstream in comparison with the rest of the puppets on stage. I remember the prior debate where Gary and Ron were the only ones not to raise their hands to be in support of torture, the rest thought torture was a swell idea, despite counter-terrorist experts such as Steve Pieczenik stating how ineffectual torture was for intel purposes. Ron Paul has my support for presisent and I believe Gary johnson would make a fine Vice Presidential choice.

If Obama and his advisers are smart they don't get into a war of words unless it's also in a debate. It always makes someone look bad and it is an equal chance of being either of them. Also people will remember it. I bet very few people will remember the joke if it's ignored a year from now and that's all that really matters.

Does the media dis-invite GARY JOHNSON to the debates so they can make Ron Paul look crazy?
I think they want Ron Paul to be the only anti-war libertarian on that stage so that it plays with their "Ron Paul is crazy" portrayal of him. If Gary johnson were up there then Ron Paul wouldnt be the lone voice on the stage for many of this ideas.

We are supposed to be a "Representative Government", but it seems to me that excluding Gary johnson effectively disenfranchises many Americans....either overtly or covertly. I think it is the "tactic" of 3rd World Countries...NOT the U.S.A.
