Answer: What the heck does it really do? If you are looking to raise your GPA, try studying and doing well in every class. Don't cherry pick "easy-A" classes and slack on the hard ones. The point of going to school is to actually learn something, not to see who can get the high score. If you honestly apply yourself in every class, the GPA will take care of itself.

How does the GPA CALCULATOR work at UC campuss? Is a A+ higher than a A point wise?

Answer: I don't know about how they do it but STANDARD is A-4 B-3 C-2 D-1 Then you add up all the points and divide by number of classes. The + and - mean NOTHING. The only thing that makes a difference is a weighted/AP class which is worse an extra point.

Answer: I am in 10th grade and every grade counts on your GPA, so your B+ in tech ed will definitly bring down your GPA, but not by much! Figuring that you have all A's and a B+, i am going to have to say your GPA is a 3.73765. There are no such thing as a Gpa calculator, but you can use a regular calculator to find out what your GPA is.

Answer: You don't need a calculator; all you need is your school's weighting for plus/minus and a regular calculator. Add up the grade points you earned and divide by the 8 classes. For instance, my school counted plus/minus as 0.3, with a maximum of 4, so your grades would translate to A 4 B+ 3.3 A+ 4 C- 1.7 C- 1.7 A- 3.7 B+ 3.3 C+ 2.3 This is a total of 24 grade points, for a nice, neat GPA of 3.0. In fact, you can do some simple averaging in your head for this: with the A+ counting no more than an A, you're left with as many plusses as minuses, so you can eliminate them all. Now, you have the same number of A's as C's, so you can replace each A/C pair with a pair of B's. that leaves you with an even string of eight B's, for a 3.0 average.

im enrolled in ap/ib courses and my school has a gpa maximum of 5.875.
Answer: If you're in the advanced courses, you should certainly be able to figure this out yourself. Take the grade you got in the course, convert it to the 4.0 scale, add whatever weighting your school adds to that course, multiply that number by the number of credits the course was worth, add them all up and divide by the total credit number.

Med School - Lets say I failed chem101 then retook for an A, Does the AMCAS GPA CALCULATOR count both grades?

Also, when I was in high school I took dual enrollment courses, meaning I have some credits from the local community college... will the AMCAS gpa count my community college credits as well, even though they I took them when I was a high schooler?
Answer: Yes AMCAS averages them. The DO school equivalent replaces the grade. I'm not entirely sure about the second question. My instinct is yes, but I would recommend asking a pre-med advisor or going to the forums at www.studentdoctor.net

Answer: I think you can just add up your grades per points. Each one should have a point value such as A- would be around 3.5 or something. Usually like this A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1 and F=I guess Zero. SO if say you got three A's, two B's and one C it would go something like this: 4+4+4+3+3+2=20 divide that by the number of numbers which is 6/20 and you get: 3.3 grade average. I think that is how I used to do it in college. But for the minuses and pluses like A+ or something...I don't know. Just ask your school administrator what the point value of each grade is and then follow that solution I gave you. Good luck! d. then again, your school should be doing this for you, when you get your grade report!!

I am going to a CSU school and do not know how to calculate my GPA. Since high school gpa is different I cant use it . Do any of you know of a website that has a calculator specifically for University Grades?
Answer: For my university it goes like this: A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0 Take whatever grade you have in a class and multiply by the number of hrs that class is. Once you're finished add it up and divide it by the number of hrs your're taking. Microbiology 4 hrs - C =8 pts Spanish 3 hrs - A= 12 pts P.E. 4 hrs - A = 16 pts History 3 hrs- B = 9 pts Total pts/Total hrs = 45/14= 3.21

Answer: add them up. A= 4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0 4+4+2+4+4+4= 22 now divide the total by how many classes you have, 6. 22/6= 3.6 Your GPA is 3.6. Good Job and the +'s and -'s don't count when you add them up.
