Answer: Korea has 4 seasons, Fall Winter Spring and Summer. The Winter is dry and cold while the summer is hot and humid (and rains a lot)
umm Busan doesn't get snow.. but its really nice in the summer (its by the water)
There really isn't any severe weather in Korea. there are typhoons but.. they really aren't a big deal. I've been through 3 of them already in 4 months and nothing has changed around me. Except in Incheon where there were a few trees blown down.
Korea's weather is pretty chill. In the winter it does get pretty cold, but at least it is dry!
Live in one of the bigger cities like Busan or Seoul. The transportation system in Seoul is so amazing. I think it just might be the best in the world. And everything is cheap! ^_^

Does SOUTH KOREA and Japan have the capabilities to defend from North Korea attack?
If North Korea attacked South korea or Japan, would they have enough defense methods to use? If so, how?
Would China be able to control North Korea?
Answer: Japan officially spends US$50 billion for military expenditure, South korea spends US$30 billion, while North Korea only has US$5.5 billion.
Even if China happens to backup North Korea and starts a full scale attack against Japan & South korea, it is highly doubtful that they would have a chance even without them having a backup from US and other UN forces.

Would it be dangerous to travel to SOUTH KOREA considering the high tensions with North Korea?
I have been planning to travel to South korea this winter and I have been looking forward to it for awhile now. However, I am worried because of recent high tensions with North Korea. Should I postpone my trip or should I travel elsewhere for my winter vacation? I was really hoping to go to South korea but now I am having doubts.
Answer: i would suggest avoiding it, simply because Kim Jong-il is dying and wants to see korea as one under the ruling of north korea. But if you still went you most likely will be fine. I would suggest sticking very south or in the mainland since they seem to be targeting islands that are close to the boarder

Are you prepared to pay? Because you will need to pay for your flights, in-country transportation, health insurance, accommodation, food, security, translators, training, language classes, staff to create the service opportunities and then to supervise and support you in your service, liaisons with the police and local officials, etc.
There is a listing of the more-than-30 member organizations of the International Volunteers Program Association (IVPA) that is a good place to find reputable volunteer-for-a-fee programs -- programs where you don't need to have much experience in order to participate, and the placements are just for a few weeks or months:

SOUTH KOREA?
Do you think that the United States acted wisely in withdrawing troops from South korea in 1949?
Answer: No, it was not. Somehow U.S did not foresee what would happen in one year time or neglected the importance of taking control of Korean peninsula. If the troops had stayed since 1949, possibly no Korean War and this means U.S would have dominated Korean Peninsula bordering China and Russia directly. The situation in East Asia would have been very different.

i need to know how the country became independent!
i already know when....
Other Questions:
i also need to know if South korea is part of the u.n.
& I need to know another national holiday besides Liberation day in South korea
Answer: Korea was occupied by Japan during WW2. After the war, it was divided into North and South for easy administration... the Russians administered the North, and the US administered the South.
So, for all intent and purposes, "Korea" as a single country ended in 1945, which is when the two North and South countries emerged.
With that setup, there's no surprise that the North turned communist and the South became a democracy.
South korea is a member of the United Nations.

Why had North Korea the right to attack SOUTH KOREA during the Cold War?
i need 5 arguments why North Korea had the right to attack South korea in 1950..
its for a debate at school.. and i cant say it was naked agression because im supposed to defend the point of view of north korea. An argument that my teacher said would be valid is that for the communists, it was a war of liberation from the imperialist and capitalist domination.. although the argument isnt 100% true its still a valid point.. i need more arguments like this one..
Answer: You got a raw deal kid. You are on the wrong end of the argument. That said, lets try this:
Both the North and the South wanted to reunite the country and “liberate” the other side.
There had been skirmishing between the two armies along the 38th parallel for a couple of years, so the North might have argued it feared an attack by the South.
Syngman Rhee, the president of South korea was more of a dictator then an elected offical who suppressed dissent (especially communists) in the South.
The North was industrial and the South was agricultural. The North needed the food grown in the South to survive.
The UN had no right to demand nationwide elections to reunite the country, it was an internal affair.
Okay, every single one of these arguments is a really big stretch. The North just didn’t have any good arguments to justify its invasion. Might makes right is really what motivated them. I don’t envy you your task of arguing your case. Anyway, good luck....
