How many times were the Jewish people sent into Diaspora or Exile? And by whom and what date? I know the Romans in 70 CE....was it twice?
Answer: Yes, after the Diaspora of 70 AD, the Romans sent them packing again in the 130's AD under Hadrian. No Jew was allowed to reside in Jerusalem after that time while Rome was in control. But there were many other expulsions to follow. This is a list I put together for my college world history classes: Many expulsions during the Middle Ages in Europe, including: 1290 - -16,000 Jews were expelled from England 1396 - -100,000 from France (Also expelled in 1307 by Philip IV known as "the Fair") 1421 - - thousands were expelled from Austria. Many of these Jews settled in Eastern Europe, especially Poland. 1492 - - 200,000 were expelled from Spain 1493 - - Sicily (37,000 Jews) and Portugal in 1496. Remember also that the Hebrew people were dispersed by the Assyrians in the 700's BC and many were taken into captivity by the Chaldeans/Babylonians in the 500's BC - though these were later released and allowed to go back to the Holy Land under the Persians. The Jews of Jerusalem were murdered by the Western European crusaders when they took the city in 1099 AD, and they were systematically slaughtered by the Germans in the 1940s during the Holocaust. They certainly have been God's "chosen people" throughout history.

Answer: I'm not really sure what you mean by your question. If you are asking if there is a true "Diaspora," meaning a dispersion of people from their homeland, of Africans, then I would say that there certainly is. Africans were brought to the Americas and the Caribbean, and to a lesser extent to Europe through the slave trade, and their decendents remain spead accross these continents. Currently there is a more focused migration of Africans into the European Union. However, if your question is based on a more specific definition of African, or of Diaspora, there is obviously room for intellectual debate. The word Diaspora initially referred to the dispersion of the Jews leaving Israel. In this case Israel ceased to exist as the center of the Jewish culture for milenia. This is obviously not the case in Africa which was never depopulated by Africans and repopulated by another group. However in modern day the term Diaspora often refers to a forced dispersion of people, either through expulsion as was the case with the Jews, or through kidnapping which was the case with Africans. Therefore, although Europeans have also spread accross the globe, there is little discussion of a "European Diaspora." In this way the spread of Africans and their decendents can be differentiated from the spread of other peoples by calling it a Diaspora as opposed to emigration or exploration. Another reason some people do not recognize the forced dispersion of Africans as a Diaspora is that Africa was never one cultural unit. Therefore, one might accept the idea of a Diaspora of the Yoruba and Igbo people for example, who were heavily hit by the slave trade, while maintaining that the Berbers and Khosa have not experienced that phenomenon. However the strong Pan-Africanist movements that have developed over the 20th century identify Africa as having important cultural unity and includes those decendents of slaves living in the Americas and the Caribbean. If one accepts the idea that a culture is self-defining (meaning that a culture is defined by the people that culture includes and excludes as being a part of it) then one must accept that Africa does have a level of cultural unity that allows for the application of the word Diaspora.

Answer: One of the most heavily travelled migration routes from Old World to New was the trajectory of slave ships that left the coast of West Africa along the Bight of Benin and landed their human cargo in Brazil. An estimated two million persons over the course of some 250 years were forced migrants along this route, arriving mainly in the Brazilian province of Bahia. Earlier generations of scholars studied this southern portion of the slave trade simply as an east-west movement of enslaved persons stripped of identity and culture, or they looked for possible "retentions" of Africa among descendants of slaves in the Americas. Kristin Mann paints a more complex picture of peoples and cultures in the south Atlantic, from the earliest period of the slave trade up to the present. Her work indicates that a dynamic and continuous movement of peoples east as well as west across the Atlantic forged diverse and vibrant re-inventions and re-interpretations of the rich mix of cultures represented by Africans and peoples of African descent on both continents. Are you looking for source documents to explain the progression of the Diaspora, or looking to explain the reasons for the Diaspora, or maybe even trying to find information on the similarities and differences of the diasporic communities? There is a lot of material, and I need clarification to help point you in the right direction. The Quaran has an interesting point of view on the subject, but it is not what I might call a scholarly source document. Paul was right to suggest you may want to stick to Josephus in the beginning and branch out form there.

Answer: Rome and the Romans sacked Jerusalem and most of Judea in 70 AD sedition and the temple high priests flagrant disregard to the pagan traditions. They failed to pay their tribute and revolted against Roman rule. The seige at Masada in 73 AD was one of the last great acts of defiance by the Jews against the Romans. This was the start of the Diaspora with some of the population run off their land. The main Diaspora would not be until around 135 AD after the Bar Kochba revolt where the remaining jewish population fled to Mesopotamia, Armenia and Eastern Europe.

It changes when child survival rates rise (clean water, basic infant immunisations) and for the parents educating three or four kids becomes a better investment in safeguarding their own survival in old age than breeding eight to ten plus. Look at stats for Cuba and Sri Lanka to see the difference between human indicators and $ indicators.

Answer: That was a developer preview on that day, basically an pre-alpha stage release. In otherwords, they finished the most of the initial development, but now there is a lot of bug hunting and fixing before it is completed and released to public. An alpha release, (somewhat usable, but very buggy) is to released this month. However, I do not know when the final release will be released. Answer: IT IS ONLY A CREATION - The African Diaspora is the Diaspora created by the movements and culture of Africans and their descendants throughout the world, to places such as the Americas, (including the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America) Europe and Asia. Much of the African Diaspora is descended from people kidnapped during the transatlantic slave trade, with the largest population living in Brazil[citation needed]. More broadly, the African Diaspora comprises the indigenous peoples of Africa and their descendants, wherever they are in the world. Pan-Africanists often also consider other Africoid peoples as diasporic African peoples. These groups include, among others, the Malay Peninsula (Orang Asli),[1], New Guinea,[2] certain peoples of the Indian subcontinent,[3],[4] and the aboriginal peoples of Melanesia and Micronesia.[5] The African Union has defined the African Diaspora as "[consisting] of people of African origin living outside the continent, irrespective of their citizenship and nationality and who are willing to contribute to the development of the continent and the building of the African Union." Its constitutive act declares that it shall "invite and encourage the full participation of the African Diaspora as an important part of our Continent, in the building of the African Union."
