i live in minnesota and all the vikes have done so far is sign sage rosenfells(stupid) and pick up the broncos 3rd cornerback karl paymeh the vikings need help at key categories such as WR, SS, C, and CB so why arent the vikings making any moves its stupid brad childress in my opinion has to go and the vikes need to pick up a good WR in the draft.
Answer: They did a lot last season.... sometimes you just have to draft. They may be looking to move up on draft day and get the QB not taken early -- probably Sanchez Draft is heavy with Centers... they would not have let Birk go if they weren't certain they will have a good center fall into their laps in the second or third round. If they dont move upfor the QB, they will have an opportunity to draft a WR in the 1st.... Harvin, Heyward-Bey, Britt. I like Heyward-Bey... Tall, fast, more polished route runner. I thought Sidney Rice would turn into a powerhouse at WR. I guess his route running and hands are questionable. You drafted an athletically gifted safety in the 1st last year -- I bet he pans out this year for you. You can bet they will pick up a FS in the later rounds of the draft. Lots of late round FS that become starters and contributers. Cedric Griffin is a talented CB, but, he may be a better fit at safety. His body size and tackling are impressive for a DB, but his interceptions are not as often as they should be. He has a nose for the ball and has caused more than his share of forced fumbles, if the Vikings drafta DB in the 2nd as a starter he may be a better fit at FS with Johnson at SS.

Unfortunately, he fell back to his old self and teams will only claim him under the same circumstances. When he concentrates on playing, he is great. When he is in self-promotion mode, he is a cancer. Right now he's viewed as a cancer but there are teams in need of receiver help right away. He may end up on one of these teams. Answer: Minnesota over the last few seasons have been predominantly a run first offense, and a defense minded team. Cutler is used to throwing around 40 passes a game, and if he were to do that with the Vikings then they would have to change their whole offensive perspective.

Do you think the MINNESOTA VIKINGS can reach the play-offs this year after a poor last season?

I am a Minnesota vikings fan and I have faith in them. The have a new quarterback and I think he will give us the edge.
Answer: I know you're not going to enjoy hearing this, but I find it very unlikely the Vikings grab a playoff spot or even finish higher than fourth or possibly third in their division. The Vikings have a great but aging defense that desperately needs to be addressed in future years. Considering they're in a league that has top NFC defenses such as the Packers and the Bears, they aren't looking to good against the curve. Historically rookie QB's have never really been too successful their first and often times even their second year, Ponder would have to defy this rule despite being th 4rth quarterback taken in the draft. They added a great TE, but they also look likely to loose their greatest receiving weapon in Sidney Rice. In an easier division such as the NFC West they'd have a shot, but against their division rivals it doesn't look to good for Minnesota. With Green Bay's immense talent on offense and defense they're practically a lock for the division leader. After that the Bears with their defense and return game along with the newly minted Lions will be clawing for wild card spots against some fierce competition in the NFC East and NFC South.

Yes Im a Vikings fan, born and raised, but ever since 98 it seems like the vikings keep getting worse and worse. Its not just the Vikings its all Minnesota teams. I just gotta ask why do they suck?

Would the 8-0 Home Minnesota vikings defeat the Dallas Cowboys, or would they choke on the Playoffs? The Dallas Cowboys have as same number of weapons as the Minnesota vikings, meanwhile the Vikings have 9 pro bowlers. What would be the key match ups during the game?
Answer: Well I don't think pro bowlers have implication on these two teams. The keys in this game will be 1. who gets the most pressure on the qb 2. who can establish the running game 3. offensive line!!! While Im biased towards the cowboys, i have a lot of respect for the viking and the team they have this year. It will be a good game, but while the Vikings have been gelling all season, the cowboys have found their grove and I truly believe that what you will see on Sunday. My prediction is cowboys Cowboys take it 30-20.( I want to say 34-17 as a cowboys fan)

I am a big fan of the Minnesota vikings and would like to get some of their autographs. I cant find out where they are staying because the team and the hotels are very quiet about it because they dont want autograph seekers there.
