I would have to say Steve Smith. Bradshaw did make some plays, and the defensive tackle did make that sack 30 seconds before the game ended but I still feel it was Steve Smith. Remember Steve Smith made the reception that gave the Giants the first down, right before Burress made the final touchdown. I agree with NY21tb. Ross did play very well. I forgot that he was a rookie and not to mention that he has been playing with a hurt shoulder.

Giants were not even predicted to win the division in spring training and they did. Giants were not expected to beat the braves 3 good pitchers. Giants were not expected to beat the phillies BIG 3. Many people picked the Rangers over the Giants and the Giants are up 2 games to none already. As a Giants fan myself I hope people continue doubting the Giants can win, it makes the wins even better.
Answer: This is great, but, to be honest, it IS unexpected. I've been a Giants fan since 1958, when I was a kid. I've been to hundreds of games over the years and listened to or watched thousands of other games. Not ONE championship in all of those years. I wouldn't even say that this is the best team the Giants have ever had in San Francisco. But, you kind of get the sense that maybe it's FINALLY their year.....look at how Kinsler's ball hit on TOP of the fence and bounced BACK. I didn't see this as a championship team early in the year when there was absolutely NO offense or in August when the starting pitching collapsed. Even in September, it took a collapse by San Diego to let the Giants get into the playoffs. I expected them to beat the Braves and they did. Philadelphia would be a taller mountain to climb, but somehow they did it. I've seen the Giants get this far before and I didn't think the Rangers would be an easy team to beat. I'm not celebrating yet, even after 2 easy wins....but it does look good. This season is starting to remind me of the first time the 49ers won the Super Bowl. No one saw that championship coming, either. That was the best Super Bowl because they were not supposed to even get there. Their other championships were good, but by that time, you were disappointed if they DIDN'T win it all. What makes this Giants run great if they do go on to win it all, is that they were NOT supposed to win it. If you're the Yankees, or the Phillies or the Rays, or the Red Sox, you're SUPPOSED to win it all and it's a big let down if you don't. 2 Games down and on to Texas to get 2 more!

Answer: I think the Atlanta Braves will go to a 2-1 series of the hometown Giants. How do the GIANTS pick themselves up after that dismal performance against the Eagles ?

Supposedly the Giants have the second best defense in the NFL,but you wouldnt have known that Sunday.
Answer: I think the Giants can sneak into the playoffs even after Sunday's loss. They play GB and then WAS to end the season. I do think the Giants will make a come back to finish at the end with a 10-6 record being just enough to get them in, but I don't think it will be easy. The Giants will struggle against a decent Packers team. Despite the Packers not having Aaron Rodgers they still have a better defense than the Giants right now and based off of what we saw Sunday. The offense is still able to move down the field which could cause the Giants problems. That being said I don't think the Giants have enough to win and they will lose in a close game. That leaves the Redskins. The Redskins did look better on Sunday against the Cowboys, but I doubt that they can pull it together. The team is dysfunctional right now meaning the Giants can take advantage of a disappointing Redskins team. Can they bounce back? I think with the kind of game they had on Sunday, yes but barely. The defense has to be disciplined and make plays when it counts. If the defense allows either (Redskins/Packers) to get a lead, then it will be hard. But I don't think the Giants will lose the final wild card spot.

has anyone heard of a tribe of Giants that lived in ohio thousands of years ago. i have read some articles about this but it is kinda hard to believe. does anyone have any info on this subject?
Answer: Giants are common legends, just like dwarves/fairy/elves/leprechauns, mutation sometimes in limited gene pools can cause this. The other explaination is the small stature of Native Americans compared to Europeans, and the unsolved mystery of the "Lost Tribe of Welshman" and the Mandan tribe speaking Welsh at the time of first European contact. Look up a 1976 book called "America B.C." by linguist Dr. Barry Fell on transatlantic exploration of the Americas long before Columbus or Vikings (both of whom had heard legends of a land to the West). there also is the debate over how far inland the Norse/Viking explorers travelled, (only in recent decades have scientist grudginly admitted they occupied Nova Scotia, but they shipped butternuts home, which don't grow there), their stature and armor are probably the source of Iroqouis legends of "stone Giants" around Oneida Lake & Lake Ontario, and centuries ago they found supposed earthworks in that region with double rows of teeth in skeletons, which is a recessive genetic thing in European people, but unfortunatly archeology at the time was pothunters looking for treasure, not science. So until more discoveries are made, archeology refuses to accept any of these legends, odd archeological finds or beliefs. It will take a Pheonician grave or vessel being found in Central America, or a Viking ship in Lake Michigan, before they will revise their view of North American history. Even 10,000 year old "Kennewick Man" was disposed of and the discovery site destroyed because he didn't fit the picture. If the puzzle pieces don't fit, they throw them out. So much of our history is full of alledged "firsts" until someone finds undeniable proof to the contrary. I had not heard of the tribes in Ohio, but then I havn't studied the history of that region. Your best bet is to find "contemporary accounts" from the time of modern contact with native tribes in the region up into the late 1800's when "science" began throwing out everything that didn't fit their picture. There also is the danger or pitfall of explorers who first viewed them supposing things like the mounds had to be built by either Giants or highly intelligent people, and not the "dumb indians" (as they saw them) who were living around these earthworks when this area was taken over by Europeans in recent centuries, (it's the same view held of those who lived around the great ruins around the world who couldn't explain satisfactorily who built them or why). But Dr. Barry Fell's comparisons of ancient Britons and Native Americans may point to either an exchange through contact, or that our cultures just evolved along similar paths even if thousands of years and miles apart. But I believe any "Giants" were human, unless you take into the account of giant ground sloths in South America, where they found evidence of them being kept as domesticated animals before their eventual extinction.

Answer: They looked at best mediocre in the pre-season. I don't anticipate a good season for them. Manning is still inconsistent, and they lost a good running back and their defensive leader in the off season. It may be a bumpy season for the Giants.

I have to write a thesis on this. And I know that there is little, if not any tangible, observable evidence that stars like our sun turn into red Giants. But I need some kind of evidence outside of mathematics to show as evidence that stars like our sun swell into larger, more unstable stars... Any help?
Answer: As mentioned, computer modelling is one important source of evidence. Another is observational evidence of stars, including red Giants. Clearly they exist, and have to come from somewhere. Spectral analysis and other techniques can reveal certain information about what's going on inside them, which lends support to the information gleaned from theoretical modelling. Also, the fact that there are reasonably few stars in the "transition" state between main sequence and red giant stars suggests that state is relatively short-lived, which again lends support to the belief that it's a transition state between the two.

What percentage of GIANTS fans do not like the jets and vice versa?

In other words, how many Giants fans either do not like the jets, do not care about them, or are okay with them winning unless they play the jets, and the same thing with jets fans with the Giants?
Answer: I don't think they really hate each other. The fact that the Giants are in the NFC and the Jets are in the AFC keeps them from directly competing. If they wound up playing in the Super Bowl it would probably be a different story though.

Answer: Oh wow now we are trying to add points because the kicker should have made the Field Goals. Hey new rule, if you don't want to go for it on 4th down and the Field Goal is under 40 yards you automatically get it. Some people who answer are just so silly. Anyway the fact that the game is in Arizona the Giants can call themselves a road team anyway. The Pats will be the home team by definition though. Although I also think this is crazy trying to credit the Pats for the Giants doing good. Face it their Home fans are jerks and make it harder for them.
