Answer: New Orleans is a ghost town after Mardi Gras. On Wednesday, everyone is nursing their hangovers, and after that-it's back to work and/or school! The weekend after Mardi Gras is always kind of depressing, actually. You can NOT wear Mardi Gras beads after Mardi Gras is over. Do you walk around with your trick-or-treat jack-o-lantern after Halloween is over? If you do, everyone will know you're a tourist and you will be a target for every con or scam artist in the Quarter.

However I looked at about 5-6websites to see if they all said about the same amount of calories(more accurate) their estimate was 400calories a Paczki.You would have to run about 1 1/2 hours..OR you could just cut back on what you eat tomorrow slightly.

if you are not familiar with this, I will explain. here in Detroit, there is a city within Detroit where there is a large Polish population. On Fat tuesday, which is the day before Ash Wednesday, they make these doughnuts (Paczkis) that are made with lots of eggs and lard and fill them with delicious custard and anything else you can think of. they are delicious. Is FAT TUESDAY the ultimate day to party for Marti Gras?

Im planning a trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, and I want to know if I could plan for the weekend before mardi gras (since events happen leading up to the big day) or should I just let everyone take off Mon-Wed to party for Feb 21st (Fat tuesday) Simply put: Is the party better on the day of and worth the missed work day?
