So when the cars push more air in the front, when 2 cars are together, then the one in back is pushing more air towards the car in front [hence: *the draft*]. That push makes the air flow off the rear spoiler of the car in front, thus making it lose stability in the rear. When a car loses stability in the rear it has to slow to regain that stability. When you have several stable cars running faster than a none stable car, the unstable car in front is forced to let off to regain stability, YOU HAVE A F*****G WRECK...!!! That was the 'key ingredient' to every wreck they had last night. Go back and watch as the car in front slowed. Brian France should have known from practice that it was a problem. My concern is if he is even smart enough to make the needed changes before the Gatorade Duals and Daytona race, or will he respond by punishing the drivers for drafting in the turns? My bet would be is Brian France will be so stupid as to put fault on the drivers...

Summers Eve, JGR announce sponsorship plans Company buys in for 12 Cup races on No. 18 By Joe Menzer, NASCAR.COM November 15, 2011 1:30 PM, EDT CONCORD, N.C -- All race teams should be so fortunate. J.D. Gibbs, president of Joe Gibbs Racing, said Tuesday that he had a difficult decision to make recently. He had one potential sponsor, Summers Eve feminine hygiene sprays, that wanted to invest considerable dollars in JGR; but he had another long-time sponsor, M&Ms/Mars, that would have to invest a little less to let Summers Eve come on board in the fashion that Gibbs and others involved in the negotiations thought made the most sense. In the end, Gibbs did the only thing he figured he could do. He went to Mars Candy and made the unusual request. He talked to officials there about sponsoring fewer Sprint Cup races on the No. 18 Toyota driven by Kyle Busch - and considering the recent problems Busch has precipitated with the long-time JGR sponsor it wasnt hard to work out a deal. That paved the way for Summers Eve to buy into a total of 12 Cup races, beginning with the Daytona 500 in 2012. With the 9-race deal announced last month with Kotex Maxi-Pads, Summers Eve announced its increased sponsorship agreement with JGR on Tuesday at Charlotte Motor Speedway. In addition to making its initial foray into Cup racing, the company also will sponsor a part-time Trucks series season with Busch at the wheel of the #18 truck, as well as 10 additional Nationwide races to be split between Busch and another driver still to be announced. "From a teammate standpoint, this is a great addition for Joe Gibbs Racing. At the Cup level, at the Nationwide level -- and just as a team," Gibbs said. "So when we went to present it to [M&Ms/Mars], they were kind of like, OK, I get it - Kyle has been rather whiney, and with him losing adult male fans we need to increase the female fan base. Obviously theyre not spending for the extra 12 races. But I think, for them, it kind of made sense and it fit." "Weve done it before with Interstate [Batteries], so why not feminine hygiene products partnering together? Kotex and Summers Eve is a natural fit. Some sponsors want the whole thing. But this is nothing different from what weve done in the past, and from what other teams have done." What is different is that M&Ms already had agreed to full sponsorship on the No. 18 car for next season and "for a while, without going into detail," according to Gibbs, "some changes had to be made." When other teams have in the past cobbled together sponsorship between two or more sponsors for a Cup season, its been out of necessity because the entire season wasnt yet covered. Im not the biggest Nascar fan in the world but I love playing racing games like Nascar 09, etc, but Ive noticed I get bored with em rather quickly, ecspecially the career mode. I have a long list of what Id dos, would these ideas be a good combination for a great Nascar game? -Be abled to sign multi-year contracts with a team -Have other real drivers switch teams and/or recruit from the truck and nation wide series. Lets say Denny Hamlin leaves Joe Gibbs for Roush and the number 11 is vacant, either a real driver steps in or a rookie driver is called up. -Have a "free agents" list of drivers that arent currently active in the cup series but can still drive like Dave Blaney, Terry Labonte, Sterling Marlin, Mike Skinner, Todd Bodine, Scott Wimmer, Joe Nemechek, etc. -Also have a legends pool where you can unlock all the old timers like Richard Petty, Cale Yarbourogh, DW, Dale Earnhardt, Dale Jarrett, etc. Even be abled to unlock cars that the current drivers used to drive like Bobby Labonte in the 18, Jeff Burton in the 99, Mark Martin in the 6, etc. -If you run out of provisionals you dont qualify same with the other teams. -Have it where real teams change sponsors or paint schemes. -Have the career mode last as long as you want where you can retire ten years into your career or thirty. -Be abled to own another cup team while driving another car from another team -Eliminate the "fantasy drivers" seeing car numbers in the 100s is annoying. -When creating a car or a team you are abled to have a car number in the single and double didgets, like I said, Ive never seen a Nascar cup team with triple didgets on their roof. -Also, I find it stupid that when you purchase a team that your buying Roush racing or Hendrick Motorsports. I feel you should be abled to create your own team and name it whatever you please with up to four or so teams. Also, be abled to hire real drivers to drive your cars like Bobby Labonte or someone then maybe hire Tony Stewart, etc. -When racing in a race at Daytona and Talledega have the cars stay in a large pack. -Have a leaderboard display the running order in front and behind you at the start finish line so you know who your racing for for position instead of wondering where the next pass for position is while in lap traffic. -In career mode have a menu with all you statistics from every race youve ever ran during your career. Lets say its 2028 and you want to just look back at where you finished or started in a race in 2012 for example. The menu would consist of starts, finishes, laps, laps lead, and race winner. I think something like that would be really cool. Also make winning more challenging but dont have it where your racing the same guy for the win every week. Make every race different where you run good at Bristol but you run like crap at Daytona. Depending on the money invested in the team you own or the team your under contract with, that will determind where and how good you and your team is. -Finally be abled to unlock old schedules with old tracks and races like Rockingham, North Wilksboro, old homestead configuration, old atlanta, etc.
Answer: Back in the day in nascar Thunder 2003 the career mode was great. You started off in a brand new team signed sponsers. You build your own cars and engines. Your teams started out only being able to run top 25 so you couldn't go out and dominate right a way you had to use stragety to get to the front. The field seperated out like in real life and the computer drivers ran well at the tracks they did in real life. For example Kyle Petty ran great at short tracks. Terry Labonte ran good at the road course, short tracks, and plate races but only ran mid pack at the ovals. If your damaged your car you had to repair it and it took money from your budget. So it taught you to drive respectfully because if you beat up your car every week you'd run out of cash and you'd have to start the race with a damaged car which made you off way off the pace. Each year the compition got a little stronger so you had to kept inproving your cars. You earn money from sponsors and race winnings. You hire and fire pit crew members, chasis, and engine builders. Pay to research and test your cars. The carreer mode lasted 20 years add you could look back at the stats form year to year. It was fun looking at the stats of drivers like Bill Elliott, Ricky Rudd, and Terry Labonte. They had 1500 starts 50 to 80 wins 900 top tens towards the end of the career mode They had unlockable legends like Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt, Benny Parsons,etc. They had the drivers swap around to at the end of each season they took some busch drivers at the time and put them in cup cars replacing drivers like Mike Skinner, Robby Gordon, and Kyle Petty I wish they would go back to that format and update it a little maybe allow you to start other teams (teammates) add the top 35 rule so you have to qualify Add the free agents like you were talking about so you can hire Dave Blanney, Mike Skinner, or Terry Labonte(with past champ provisionals to help get your team in the top 35) to for your sencond and third team. I like the idea of adding old tracks of course back then the they still raced at rockingham and to old Homestead format they also had the budshootout and the Winston All Star race too. They even had the winston open in carreer mode just incase you weren't yet in they should add that back as well.They should add those back as well as the old formats for the All Star race. Add The Busch tracks for testing. They stoped this format when they added the Busch, truck and freatherlite series Those are good to have but maybe they should create their own game for those series. If they were to do that and made it different we would buy it.

Summers Eve, JGR announce sponsorship plans Company buys in for 12 Cup races on No. 18 By Joe Menzer, NASCAR.COM November 15, 2011 1:30 PM, EDT CONCORD, N.C -- All race teams should be so fortunate. J.D. Gibbs, president of Joe Gibbs Racing, said Tuesday that he had a difficult decision to make recently. He had one potential sponsor, Summers Eve feminine hygiene sprays, that wanted to invest considerable dollars in JGR; but he had another long-time sponsor, M&Ms/Mars, that would have to invest a little less to let Summers Eve come on board in the fashion that Gibbs and others involved in the negotiations thought made the most sense. In the end, Gibbs did the only thing he figured he could do. He went to Mars Candy and made the unusual request. He talked to officials there about sponsoring fewer Sprint Cup races on the No. 18 Toyota driven by Kyle Busch - and considering the recent problems Busch has precipitated with the long-time JGR sponsor it wasnt hard to work out a deal. That paved the way for Summers Eve to buy into a total of 12 Cup races, beginning with the Daytona 500 in 2012. With the 9-race deal announced last month with Kotex Maxi-Pads, Summers Eve announced its increased sponsorship agreement with JGR on Tuesday at Charlotte Motor Speedway. In addition to making its initial foray into Cup racing, the company also will sponsor a part-time Trucks series season with Busch at the wheel of the #18 truck, as well as 10 additional Nationwide races to be split between Busch and another driver still to be announced. "From a teammate standpoint, this is a great addition for Joe Gibbs Racing. At the Cup level, at the Nationwide level -- and just as a team," Gibbs said. "So when we went to present it to [M&Ms/Mars], they were kind of like, OK, I get it - Kyle has been rather whiney, and with him losing adult male fans we need to increase the female fan base. Obviously theyre not spending for the extra 12 races. But I think, for them, it kind of made sense and it fit." "Weve done it before with Interstate [Batteries], so why not feminine hygiene products partnering together? Kotex and Summers Eve is a natural fit. Some sponsors want the whole thing. But this is nothing different from what weve done in the past, and from what other teams have done." What is different is that M&Ms already had agreed to full sponsorship on the No. 18 car for next season and "for a while, without going into detail," according to Gibbs, "some changes had to be made." When other teams have in the past cobbled together sponsorship between two or more sponsors for a Cup season, its been out of necessity because the entire season wasnt yet covered. "I think it makes this an even better deal," Gibbs insisted. "Youre not having to cobble something together out of necessity. Youre doing it for long term, tying to make a foundation. It makes sense." Gibbs denied that the move was precipitated by M&Ms dissatisfaction in Busch as driver of the car. Currently mired in last in the Chase point standings, Busch has not won a race since mid-season and had his most lack-luster season with only 3 wins as he closes in on finishing up his third season as full-time driver of the No. 18 car piloted by former JGR driver J.J. Yeley. "Without giving the details, thats not really the case," Gibbs said. "We got [Busch] when he was young and we walked him through all that, but hes still got immaturity issues. I think hes got a great future at Joe Gibbs Racing. Obviously on the performance side its all good, its just that were not happy with his bahavior overall - so maybe Summers Eve will help freshen things up." Gibbs said with a wink. Gibbs also denied that the move is paving the way for M&Ms to further lessen its involvement in the sport or get out altogether in the long haul. "Again, they worked with us," Gibbs said. "They didnt have to say yes. I think its something that makes sense for the big picture. I think theyre just a good partner. What we didnt want to do was say, Hey, Summers Eve (and Kotex). We think youre a great partners. But were sorry, you have to go someplace else. We cant make it work. With the trucks for Kyle and the Nationwide and Cup for us, I think it all makes sense. "Summers Even and Kotex brands will be great partners for JGR and KBM. You dont want to have to pass on that and give someone else that opportunity. We went to M&Ms and said, Here are all the issues we have, and here are all your issues with Kyle, and heres why we think they would be a valuable partner. And they were like, OK, we agree. "
