A story Idea I made up...advice please?

What do you think of a story that starts off about a young gypsy boy and acuratley desctrible the reality of gypsy life and then goes on to follow his daughter a fifteen year old in modern day...She leaves home because of her wanderlust and strained relationship with her father. She travels, and this part is stories and stuff, and the cool thing about her is she has a very musical background and sing songs for strangers sometime...just as shes walking or something. She meets a guy who is much older then her and they have a brother sister relationship but she starts to like him(sean) as much more. Ovously traveling like this is dangerous for a young girl and one of seans coworkers trys to molest her...sean calls the cops on his friend and gets the police incolved they have no evidence to work of to arrest brent but they find out about the girl and send her back to he father...later she finds out sean sold the song she and him wrote together she tries to get ahold of him but he moved. Later something happens that help the police re open the case. They contact sean and the girl and in doing so Sean finds out where shandy lives. He does not contact her but get her alot of the royalties for the song. I am sixteen and this is a school project. So please dont just say it sucks because at this point I dont have time to start over! I looking for critisim..to help me make it better
Answer: I think this is a good story idea for a novel. And I'm assuming that you do know something about "the realities of gypsy life". If you don't, I would leave that well alone, and give the girl's father and the girl a different background which you do know well. If the project is to write a novel, you can probably use most of the story that is in your head. If no, I would pick one part of it, and really write that in the minutest detail you can. Describe everything. The way she feels as she sings. Where does her music come from, and is she aware of it? Be careful about the guy she meets being "much older" than her, unless the relationship is more like the father and daughter one than a brother and sister one. Make connections between what she feels about the guy and what she feels about her music and about other people. Do you know what it's like to be molested? You've given everybody names.Think about what they work at, where they live, what they eat, what they smell like. Let yourself go when you first write it, but then work it over, and work it over again. Read it aloud, and see how it sounds as you speak it. Can you hear the way your characters speak? A Prison Service spokesman said: "An incident at HMP Full Sutton on Tuesday February 22 resulted in the death of prisoner Colin Hatch. This is now a matter for the police." Humberside Police are investigating and have arrested a 35-year-old male prisoner on suspicion of murder. In 1991, Hatch was jailed for three years for assaulting a boy of eight. His lawyer warned he could kill when he was released. Up-and-coming rapper Dolla was killed in a shooting at an upscale shopping mall, and a man was arrested for investigation of murder, police said Tuesday.Los Angeles County Coroners spokesman Ed Winter said the man killed Monday afternoon at the Beverly Center was 21-year-old Roderick Anthony Burton II, the birth name of rapper Dolla. Police said in a statement Tuesday that Aubrey Louis Berry, 23, of Atlanta, was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport with a gun Monday night. His bail was set at $1 million. Burton is among a growing list of slain rappers, including Tupac Shakur in 1996, the Notorious B.I.G. in 1997, Jam Master Jay of Run-DMC in 2002 and Deshaun "Proof" Holton in 2006. Burton was shot several times in a parking structure at the Beverly Center and was declared dead at a hospital, police said. Police did not say what may have motivated the killing. Crawford 1 Rachel Crawford Professor Cotter English 306 6/13/07 Capital Punishment In the movie, Dead Man walking, the point of the movie seemed to be that (capital punishment) death penalty is just as cruel and senseless as the crimes Matthew Poncelet committed. The death penalty is not only cruel but it is very unfair. It discriminates against poor people, innocent people and a person of a different race. In Poncelet’s case he was a poor man. "Aint nobody with money on death row" was Poncelet’s words. Since he was poor he didn’t have enough money to be represented by a good lawyer. According to the 6th amendment, he was entitled to be represented by a lawyer. Since he was poor, he had to take whatever the court gave him. The other person that was involved in the same crime, (name of person) got life in prison instead of the death penalty because he was able to afford a lawyer that represented him well. According the US Supreme Court justice, “People, who are well represented in trial, do not get the death penalty.”(Death Penalty Information center). This happened to a man named George McFarland who was tried, convicted and sentenced to die for the murder of a Houston convenience store owner. The trial only lasted less than three days, throughout most of the three days his lawyer was fast asleep. In a study according to a study on a website, “90% of defendants that were sentenced to die were indigent and could not afford an experienced criminal defense attorney. They are force to use the inexperienced, underpaid and overworked lawyers.” (Campaign to end the death penalty) This happened in the case of George McFarland. The Death penalty is unfair to people who are supposedly innocent, in Poncelet’s case, he was guilty. But in reality there are many people who are innocent that are on Death row for crimes that they didn’t commit. In 2004, Ryan Matthews, a man that was on death row was acquitted of all charges brought against him. He was condemned to die by lethal injection for the 1997 murder of a man that worked at a local grocery store. Lack of DNA evidence and mistaken identity by witnesses had him tried and convicted in three days. New evidence was brought forward and Matthews was retried. DNA evidence showed that he was not at the scene of the crime linking some else to the crime. Since the early 1970’s 123 people in 25 states have been released from death row with evidence of their innocence. Some of the innocent people in jail were poor and lacked good representation of a lawyer to prove their innocence. . The death penalty is not only unfair to the innocent; it is also unfair for minorities. In the “US: Death by Discrimination-The Continuing role of race in Capital cases,” Amnesty states that even though blacks and whites are murder victims in nearly equal numbers of crimes; 80% of people exectuted since the death penalty was reinstated have be executed for murders involving white victims. More than 20% of black defendants who have been exectuted were convicted by an all-white jury.”(Death penalty information center) This happened Dennis Williams and Verneal Jimerson along with 2 other men were convicted of the double murder and rape of a white couple at a gas station in the 1970’s. Despite the fact that there was no physical evidence linking the four of them to the crime. The politicians were putting pressure on the police to put someone behind bars so they quickly arrested four black men from the poverty-stricken neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago.” There’s a police attitude toward young black men that if they didnt do this they probably did something else," (Protess) David Protess was a Northwestern University investigative journalism professor who along with lawyers, journalists and students were able to help prove the four of the men’s innocence. The death penalty is not only cruel but it is very unfair. It discriminates against poor people, innocent people and people of different races. In Poncelet’s case, he was a poor man. "Ain't nobody with money on death row." were Poncelet’s words. Since he was poor he didn’t have enough money to be represented by a good lawyer. According to the 6th amendment, he was entitled to be represented by a lawyer. Since he was poor, he had to take whatever the court gave him. The other person that was involved in the same crime, (name of person) got life in prison instead of the death penalty because he was able to afford a lawyer that represented him well. According the US Supreme Court justice, “People, who are well represented in trial, do not get the death penalty.”(Death Penalty Information center) This happened to a man named George McFarland who was tried, convicted and sentenced to die for the murder of a Houston convenience store owner. The trial only lasted less than three days and throughout most of the three days, his lawyer was fast asleep. According to a study on a website, “90% of defendants that were sentenced to die were indigent and could not afford an experienced criminal defense attorney. But in reality, there are many people who are innocent that are on Death row for crimes that they didn’t commit. He was condemned to die by lethal injection for the 1997 murder of a man that worked at a local grocery store. Lack of DNA evidence and mistaken identity by witnesses had him tried and convicted in three days. New evidence was brought forward and Matthews was retried. DNA evidence showed that he was not at the scene of the crime, linking some else to the crime. The politicians were putting pressure on the police to put someone behind bars so they quickly arrested four black men from the poverty-stricken neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. "There’s a police attitude toward young black men that if they didn't do this, they probably did something else." (Protess) David Protess was a Northwestern University investigative journalism professor who along with lawyers, journalists and students were able to help prove the four of the men’s innocence. The reality is that there are some nations governed by horrible people who care not about their people. International law traditionally has been that if the leaders of a nation want to kill off all their people, and do it in a non-discriminatory way ... ie. kill everyone ... then other nations may not intervene for humanitarian reasons, but if a nation is picking on a particular religion or ethiic group, then the international community can act. Also if a nation invades a neighbor, the international community can act. But beyond that, the Junta that took power in Burma has done some stupid things which can be exploited, by people outside the country that want to help the democratic movement ... see my question for details. In the latest protexts, the government of Burma has crossed a line that other nations have not crossed. Many nations have executed thousands or millions of their people, but to do it with the world's cameras watching is kind of stupid ... something like the Russian Coup that failed to disconnect the news media, so that the people saw it happening, and rose up in support of those who were opposed to the coup. The USA is often in trouble with other nations because children are executed for various serious crimes. Burma is now in trouble with the world community because children who happened to be in the pecaceful parade were executed. We know that many nations try to block journalists from getting pictures out of what they are doing, but to take state sponsored military action against the journalists, that is unheard of. In many nations, leaders of movements include religious leaders. This sometimes leads to the religious leaders getting imprisoned, sometimes tortured, but in a country that is 90% Buddhist, to be doing mass executions of monks (leaders of that religion) has stepped over a line that no other nation has done anything comparable. Myanmar is the name of the country used by the military dictatorship that overthrew the democratically elected government. 99% of the nations of the world still call that nation by the name Burma, because they do not recognize the legitimacy of the junta government.

I went back to an abuser & was pushed down the stairs, then he slapped me so hard my head snapped back & hit the wall. I got away, got a restraining order & moved on. Rihanna needs to do this too. She should've filed for a restraining order after Chris hit her & stayed longer in seculsion. NOT on Diddy's property either where Chris could easily find her.
