We should adopt mandatory prison sentences for CEOs hiring illegal aliens?
We should adopt mandatory prison sentences for CEOs hiring illegal aliens
February 11, 12:15 AM
Illegal aliens arrested at Iowas Agriprocessors Inc.
APIn July 2009, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced that Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. agreed to pay a $40,000 fine for hiring illegal aliens.
An inspection by ICE discovered Krispy Kreme hired dozens of illegal aliens at their Cincinnati, OH factory.
According to the terms of the agreement, in addition to paying the fine, the doughnut maker promised to revamp their hiring process in order to hire only those authorized to work in this country.
No one at Krispy Kreme was sent to prison, and the $40,000 fine, for a company that saw revenues of $384 million in 2009 alone, is downright laughable.
Another 2009 investigation, discovered that 1,800 of American Apparel’s workers were illegal aliens, using fraudulent documents. The company which is located in Los Angeles is the nation’s largest clothing manufacturer, and the 1,800 illegal workers represented a third of their workforce. The owners of American Apparel have been outspoken proponents of an amnesty plan for this nation’s illegal alien population.
The following is a short list of some of the more high-profile companies recently caught with illegal aliens in their employ:
Agriprocessors Inc. - On May 12, 2008, ICE agents executed criminal and administrative search warrants at Agriprocessors, Inc., in Postville, IA, which resulted in the arrest of 389 illegal aliens. 305 of those arrested were also convicted of criminal offenses.
CEO Sholom Rubashkin was arrested and charged with federal conspiracy of harboring illegal immigrants and aiding and abetting aggravated identity theft. However, the U.S. Attorney’s office later dropped all 72 charges against him.
Pilgrim’s Pride - On April 16, 2007, ICE agents arrested 311 illegal aliens working at five Pilgrim’s Pride sites. Of the 311 arrested, 91 were charged with other criminal violations.
Del Monte Produce - On June 12, 2007, ICE agents arrested 168 illegal alien employees at their Portland, OR facility. In addition to the illegal workers, 13 managers and other workers were arrested and charged with various crimes including selling Social Security cards.
Swift and Company - On Dec. 12, 2006, ICE agents arrested 1,297 illegal aliens at six Swift meat processing factories in six states. 274 of those arrested were also charged with other criminal offenses.
Smithfield Foods - After ICE agents raided the Tar Heel, NC plant and arrested 21 illegal alien workers, 500 workers with fake Social Security numbers were promptly fired from the factory. Another raid in August 2007, netted 28 more illegal aliens, all were from Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras.
Whether it is a landscaping company run-out of someone’s den in Cicero, IL; a 30-unit independent hotel in Virginia Beach, VA; or a corporate giant such as Tyson Foods Inc., once caught with illegal aliens in their employ, the head of that company should spend the next ten years of their life in prison.
Additionally, all of that company’s profits made during the period they employed illegal aliens should be seized, with the money going directly to help pay for border enforcement.
Instead of simply rounding-up the illegal workers (many of whom will not even be deported as a result), and focusing on low-level company employees for prosecution, if there is to be any…We need to begin placing leg irons on the CEOs of companies who make a practice of hiring illegal aliens.
If we arrested these traitors in their walnut paneled offices, and perp-walked them into court for all to see, it would not only punish those who are truly responsible for the illegal replacement of the American worker, but send a powerful message to corporate America…Hire illegal aliens, and you will lose everything you have!
We must demand that our lawmakers see to it that American companies, actually hire American workers…not invaders.
Of course, those same lawmakers will first have to extract themselves from the hip pockets of many those companies.
Answer: Not only on employers but I think there should be mandatory sentences for anyone who aids and abets, harbors, marries or does anything to encourage these illegal aliens to remain. Just as the laws state!

Illegal immigrant set house fire after being ejected from party wasnt he here for better life?
A 19-year-old illegal immigrant from Honduras was sentenced Friday to four years in state prison for deliberately setting a fire last May at a multi-family house in Morristown because he was angered at being thrown out of a party.
Fernando Inestroza, who performed odd jobs to earn a living, apologized to state Superior Court Judge Stuart Minkowitz for putting lives at risk by setting the fire at the Sussex Avenue home around 4:30 a.m. May 16.
Defense lawyer Michael Fletcher asked for a three-year term and county Assistant Prosecutor Julie Serfess asked for a five-year term on the guilty plea that Inestroza entered last year to aggravated arson.
The judge imposed four years. Inestroza will get credit for nine months he already has served in the county jail and will be deported to his native Honduras upon release from prison, Fletcher said.
At the time of the blaze, Inestroza was a tenant of the house next door but was tracked down to a house in East Orange within a few days of the crime. Several town firefighters had rushed into the building to evacuate tenants, and one firefighter was injured when part of the home collapsed and knocked off his helmet.
Inestroza had become intoxicated and offensive at the party so others told him to leave. He lighted a piece of paper with a butane lighter and put it in a plastic garbage can on a second-floor wooden deck of the structure, he acknowledged.
http://www.dailyrecord.com/article/20110218/NJNEWS/102180316/Illegal-immigrant-gets-four-years-for-starting-fire-in-Morristown
Answer: the reason he was here is irrelevant. better life or not, he broke the law by coming here illegally. he broke the law again by starting a fir at the party after he was thrown out. screw him. 4 years in prison is not long enough. glad to hear he will be deported when he is released. wonder how long it will take him to come back across the border.

Digg Del.icio.us Facebook Fark Google Newsvine Reddit Yahoo Print Reprints Text size: A West Palm Beach man was sentenced Monday to more than four years in prison and ordered to pay $16 million in unpaid taxes for his role in a nationwide tax scheme that employed illegal immigrants as janitors to clean for restaurant chains like Hard Rock Cafe, Dave & Busters and Yardhouse.
Scott Cunningham, 44, the former vice president of Rosenbaum-Cunningham International (RCI), was sentenced to four years and three months by U.S. District Court Judge Paul Maloney in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Along with Cunningham, the companys former president, Richard M. Rosenbaum, 61, of Longwood, was sentenced to 10 years and ordered to pay $16.9 million. A third defendant, Christina A. Flocken, 60, who once served as RCIs controller, was sentenced to 2 1/2 and ordered to pay $15.7 million.
Maloney also ordered the three to forfeit bank accounts, life insurance policies and cash totaling more than $3 million that prosecutors said was derived from their illegal activities. Cunningham is expected to forfeit a home in the gated community of Ibis Golf and Country Club.
In handing down the sentence, Maloney said the crimes involved a "massive tax scheme involving illegal aliens."
Assistant Secretary for Homeland Security Julie L. Meyers said, "For too long, unscrupulous employers like those who owned and operated RCI have been able to undercut their competition by building their work force with illegal labor."
Myers added that "targeting employers who profit from illegal hiring is a key component to stopping illegal immigration."
Prosecutors said that between 2001 and 2005, RCI was paid more than $54 million and evaded $15.7 million in federal taxes.
In February 2007, the three were charged in a 23-count indictment with conspiracy to defraud the United States, evading federal employment taxes and harboring illegal immigrantsfor profit. If convicted on all charges, they each faced 15 years in prison.
Just before the indictment was handed down, more than 200 undocumented workers from Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and Haiti were rounded up in a raid on 63 RCI job sites across the country, according to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. They were detained pending deportation proceedings.
After a plea agreement was reached in November 2007, Cunningham and Flocken pleaded guilty to charges of conspiring to defraud the government and harboring illegal immigrants. Rosenbaum reached a similar agreement in October 2007.
The indictment said that illegal immigrants were "essential to the success of their scheme" because they were willing to be paid in cash, could be fired without legal recourse and were "highly unlikely to report the irregular nature of their employment."

Hello why would an illegal only get 6 months in prison for killing his roommate?
On Wednesday, a judge in Petersburg, Va. sentenced Norman Jose Carcamo-Arias, 25, to 10 years in prison with nine years and six months suspended. In December 2009, he pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of his roommate, Josiel Venturi Garcia-Orbina, 24.
Since Arias, a Honduran national, has already been in jail for a year, local law enforcement are now just waiting for him to be picked up by Immigration and Customs Enforcement for deportation.
Petersburg Senior Assistant Commonwealths Attorney Kenneth Blalock told the Richmond-Times Dispatch: “They said they were going to come down and pick him up to deport him back to Honduras.”
On Jan. 8, 2009, police arrived at the apartment responded Arias and Orbina, shared, along with three others. There, they found Orbina’s body with a fatal shotgun blast to the neck.
Two of his roommates claimed that they came home and found Orbina dead, and had no idea how he was killed.
When police caught up to Arias, he told them that the homicide was the result of a bad drug deal, and that an unidentified black male shot Orbina.
Eventually, all of them recanted their stories and admitted that Arias shot Orbina, after the two had apparently been playing with a shotgun, pointing it at one another.
Blalock described Arias’ actions: “He apparently pulled the trigger and nothing happened, he then cocked the gun and pulled the trigger again. The second time the gun fired.”
When Orbina fell dead, his four roommates ran from the apartment, bringing the gun with them.
Blalock said: “When they left, they gave the gun to someone on the street. Then they took Carcamo-Arias to Richmond and let him out of the car before returning to the apartment and calling police.”
All of the roommates are in the country illegally.
