Why did Obama and Democrats give the Federal Reserve oversight of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau?
South Carolina GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham mocked the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Sunday describing it as “something out of the Stalinist era.”
“This consumer bureau that they want to pass is under the Federal Reserve, no appropriation oversight, no board, it is something out of the Stalinist era,” said Graham on NBC’s Meet the Press.
Last week, Senate Republicans blocked the nomination of Richard cordray to head the consumer agency created under the Dodd-Frank financial reform law.
“The reason Republicans dont want to vote for it is we want a board, not one person, making all the regulatory decisions, and theres no oversight under this person. He gets a check from the Federal Reserve.” Graham said explaining the GOP’s opposition.
Answer: To piss off the Republicans, of course.

my name should be off sex offender list what gives?
april of 2000 was my sentence and my first day on the OHIO sex offender registry for having sex with my underage girl now wife. I was labeled teir 1 and was suppose to reg for 10 years now to be that means april 2010 I am off. but because of the attorney general I was moved to a teir 2 and told to reg for 15 more years. however the supreme court found that was unjust and ordered the Attorney General Richard cordray to undo the decision and move me back to tier 1, with means im off the list.but here it is oct and im still there
so my questions
1 is there someone I need to talk to get actually get removed or should it be automatic ?
2 im suppose to reg in NOV. via the law the Attorney General Richard cordray was told didnt apply to me. and I plan on not showing up waiting for the sheriff to show up and sue the shit out of them.will this make them get off there ars. and do what the courts told them too?
ya not showing up is extreme but if the government would do what they are suppose to do instead of screwing people over. Maybe but I want to make a point.
as for Anthony what brought on windowless van? Do you have the IQ of a plant?
Answer: if your name is on the registry you are assigned an agent and you could easily phone this agent and ask such a question as this.
from the attorney generals office every 90 days each registrant is required to verify the Information of your residence, sign the form and return it to the departnment within ten working days.
so your 90 days has taken place, april of this year and it's october now and you should have recieved these papers and then you could have followed up with the latest news of your case.

Do you agree with this description of Pres. Obama as defiant?
January 04, 2012 11:26 AM EST
WASHINGTON (AP) — In a defiant display of executive power, President Barack Obama on Wednesday will buck GOP opposition and name Richard cordray as the nations chief consumer watchdog. Outraged Republican leaders in Congress suggested that courts would determine the appointment was illegal.
With a director in place, the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau can start overseeing the mortgage companies, payday lenders, debt collectors and other financial companies often blamed for practices that helped tank the economy.
Despite the inevitable conservative complaints that President Obama is engaged in some kind of massive overreach by recess appointing Richard cordray as the nation’s chief consumer financial protection watchdog, the truth is that Obama has used his recess appointment power very sparingly. After today’s appointment, President Obama will have made a total of 29 recess appointments. By comparison, George W. Bush made 171 recess appointments; Bill Clinton made 139 recess appointments; George H.W. Bush made 77 recess appointments; and Ronald Reagan made 243. When you divide these numbers by the number of years each man spent in the White House, it reveals that Obama is far and away the least likely president to invoke this power

How come Obama is once again trying to pull a quick one when the Senate is not around?
Reporting from Washington —
President Obama will appoint former Ohio Atty. Gen. Richard cordray on Wednesday to be the first director of the new Consumer Financial Protection Agency, making a controversial decision to install Cordray while the Senate is in brief recess to avoid Republican opposition, according to a White House official.
Obama’s move, to be announced during a visit to Ohio, is likely to be challenged in court as he will be the first president in more than two decades to make such a so-called recess appointment during a Senate break of less than three days.
The move is sure to infuriate Senate Republicans, who have been near unanimous in blocking Cordray’s appointment. It also will anger many in the financial services industry, who strongly opposed creation of the agency.
House Speaker John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) blasted Obamas move as "an extraordinary and entirely unprecedented power grab." Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Obama had "arrogantly circumvented the American people" by breaking with long-standing precedent on recess appointments.
