How does a LEAP YEAR baby celebrate their Birthdays?

I was wondering how Leap year babies celebrates their Birthday? Every 4 years? So theyll be a year older every 4 years?
Answer: The way i celebrate is when there isn't a Leap year, i just celebrate on March 1st. When there is, i just do it on February 29th. For me, basically : *just skip to the end of this message for a simpler answer* a year without Leap year is a fourth of a year, meaning : (EXAMPLE) you are 1/4 years old. after 3 years without a Leap year, you are 3/4 years old. After the actual Leap year passes, you are "1 year old" {1 year without a Leap year = 1/4 of a "year".} the years without Leap years are still regular years, and i just count them as +1 year. for example, if you are 2, a year without Leap year still means you are 3. you have been alive 3 whole years. So actually, Leap year babies age like normal people. They just don't have an actual yearly birthday, because it only comes around every 4 years. Yes, it does get kind of confusing. But when you're actually born on that day, it makes a lot more sense. LET ME TRY & CLEAR THIS UP! Okay. So. 1 Actual Year = 1 Actual Year, Right? So Leap year babies still age like normal people. You should get that by now, because I've said it about 20,000 fudging times. 1 Actual Year = 1/4 Of A Leap year, because 1 Actual Year isn't a Leap year. 1 Leap year = 4 Actual Years. Any better? If somebody is born on February 29th, a Leap year, when do they celebrate their birthday every year?
Answer: Although technically people born on 2/29 only have one birthday every four years, most celebrate on the 28th or March 1st on non-Leap years.

I was searching for scholarships and was wondering if there were any scholarships given to people who have a Leap year birthday. There are scholarships given to people who are left-handed. Surely there is a scholarship for Leap year babies.
Answer: I did not spot any using Google.com, but maybe there is one listed using a variety of different free sources. As said earlier, there are scholarships for many different things out there. I recommend still searching for more scholarships and financial aid to finance your college degree. I will list several free places to locate money for college. First, fill out the FAFSA form which will tap into need based financial aid from the state and federal governments along with the college itself. It provides scholarships, student loans, and grants. This is to be completed each year after January 1 for the fall semester and will cover the entire school year. Second, the college's financial aid office and website has a list of private scholarships offered from outside organizations and companies. Sometimes a college major's website will list scholarships, too. Third, the public library has a book listing scholarships with some not even listed on the web. Fourth, high school seniors can locate local scholarships at the high school guidance office. Finally, I recommend joining several free membership scholarship search websites. There are scholarships for a variety of things including ethnicity, clubs, hobbies, and even wearing duct tape to the high school prom. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most offer a customized search based on information entered onto a form on the website. Good luck!

Answer: Every four years another day is added to February. Usually there are 28 days in February, but on years divisible by 4 (but not by 400, just to make it really complicated), there are 29 days in February. 2007 is not a Leap year, but 2008 will be. The reason is to keep our calendar in synch with the earth's motion around the sun. Our calendar is an artificial way to tell tell time, and we try to make it align with the natural motion of the earth around the sun. We do this by adding a day every 4 years. Hope this helps.

Question about the LEAP YEAR and adding 1 day to February?

As we can see, 1 day is not exactly 24 hours, its 23 hours 56 mins approximately. So my question is why do we add 1 day to february (Feb 29) after 4 years when its actually less than 24 hours per day...And according to my calculation, if this continues for approx 200 years then a major adjustment is necessary....I searched wikipedia but cant really understand the thing. Can anyone explain this Leap year thing to me in detail, would be very grateful. Thankyou.
Answer: A year isn't exactly 365 days long. It's 365.25 days long. So by counting off a year every 365 days, we fall behing 1/4 of a day each year. After four years, we're a full day behind, so we add that day into February. Actually, the year isn't exactly 365.25 days long. It's more like 365.24, so we don't add a day to years that end in 00 (1900, 2000, 2100, etc.). And that's not exact, either, so we also DO add the day to the 100s that are also divisible by 400 (1600, 2000, 2400, etc.) And so on.

I am programming a Leap year script; its not like it will be important to me - Ill wont be able to live 1993 years to see it. Just curious.
Answer: I think step 4 had been proposed to improve the accuracy. Not sure if it is accepted internationally. But it is certainly correct. If you choose not to implement it, just put a note somewhere that the routine works for years up to 3999.

If you have to work on February 29th (eg if it falls on a week-day rather than a weekend), are you paid for it? Answer: I don't know how exactly you figured 505 years, but the current system skips a Leap year 3 out of every 4 centuries. Therefore the skips have been and will be (starting at 1800): 1800, 1900, 2100, 2200, 2300, 2500, 2600, etc. We will never need to have a Leap year on an odd year.

What is the story behind Leap year and is 2007 considered a Leap year? From what I have heard it happens every four years, but I cant remember when the last Leap year was. I know it deals with the month of February. How many days in February does it have to be to be considered a Leap year? There are 29 days this year in the month of February. What is special about Leap year? I also know that during a Leap year, there are 365 1/4 days in the whole year.
Answer: You've got things a little mixed up. Each year is 365 1/4 days long, which is why we need a Leap year every four years--because we've actually used an extra day during that time and our calendars are 'behind'. February usually has 28 days. This year it only has 28 days. Next year is our Leap year. What calendar are you looking at that it has 29 days for February? Our last Leap year was 2004. The next one will be next year. It's always a year that is divisible by 4. Now, because adding this extra year actually ends up giving us more days in the long run (because it's not EXACTLY 365 1/4 days per year), they decided that any year ending in 00 would only be a Leap year if it could also have to be divisible by 400.
