Why is CHARLIE WEIS thought of a such a good college coach?
Name two good teams he has beaten since he has been there. Honestly, they lose every big game he coaches in. He has a prostyle offense that made it take teams about a season to figure out and shut down. His record is almost identical to Tyrone Willinghams at this point, and no one called him the savior, so why Charlie weis? Please educate me on this.
Crayboy: okay 1st of all, Tennesee wasnt a .500 tema last year, and you call that a big win for them that season. 2nd blowing out Penn State isnt exactly a huge deal this year. Third look at the teams that beat GT this year other than ND. Role model i can see, but still you cant convince me he is an elite coach because he coached under a great Pats staff. Tressel, Myer, Carroll, and Spurrier at least are in another class than he is. And the michigan win last year????????? Michigan lost 5 friggin games last year. Are you kidding me? lol.
And ND making a BCS game is a giving as long as they win 9-10 games, its a media machine.
Answer: he is a great role model for the atheletes at notre dame. he probably tells his players...

If CHARLIE WEIS gets fired who will replace him?
i hope its Jon Gruden. Please fire Charlie weis he is worse than eric mangini.
Answer: Well lets take a look at what has happened in the past with ND coaches.
Bob Davie: lackluster and unable to even win a bowl game or even recruit after Lou Holtz.
Ty Willingham: Not really a bad coach per say but unable to spark any interest in the fans or alum. Mediocre teams didnt help his cause. Some say him being black had something to do with that but I'm not sure. Once again no bowl wins and losses to SC. At least he drafted QUINN and SAMARDZIJA.
Charlie weis: Even I feel in love with the guy after the first season. I was also glad that we locked him up to a extension because like Notre Dame I thought the NFL would be trying hard to get him back and give him his own team. Once again I may have been wrong.
To his credit though the man can recruit. His demeanor and arrogance are legendary as being a prick. I think many players find him difficult to relate with, but if he can't pull it together then off with his head at ND. Lets look at 5 to start with.
That leaves the hopefules
1.) Jon Gruden- I find this pick to be more fan driven that actual interest peaked by Mr. Gruden. I put it at a 25% chance.
2.)Urban Meyer- With the Rich Rodriguez experiment going on at Michigan I'm not sold that Urban wants to start all over with a fan base that expects WIN AT ALL COSTS (except that ND won't lower academic standards to allow the best athletes to play ball.
Urban said "no" once and I don't see ND lower any standards. So I say no Urban Meyer.(Plus the fact he signed a very wealthy deal to stay in Florida). I say 15% chance.
3.)Brian Kelly- with the development of the Cinncinati program, this one has legs. Cinncinnati is a program that may be hidden due to the lack of interest and talent in the big east, but all in all a good possible hire. I say 40%
4.)Gary Patterson-Tcu has been good 4 awhile and Patterson is a good pick for this Catholic school. Patterson can recruit and maybe with the added recuiting help Texas may be a viable spot to help recruit ND back into some semblance of it's former self. I say 50%
5.) Chris Petersen- Now were talking! Boise state beats over talented teams out of it's own conference every year and stays in the bcs hunt. Peterson signs talented recruits that the school really should never get. Yet there they are. The style of play and enginuity of Peterson are bar only to maybe Meyer. Who will break the bank and demand Standards to be replaced.
I say 75% if ND pursues hard.

Answer: There is no reason for Weis to block this transfer. He was lied to and misled in to believing that he was, the front runner for the ND QB position. The worst part about it was that the kid found this out through a Weis post game interview. he wasn't even man enough to tell the kid he wasn't going to play him anymore. Weis needs to be smart here, because he i running the risk of damaging relationships with alot of Chicago area coaches, because this is a Chicago area recruit.

It just seems to me like if he had played Clausen straight through they would not of needed last minute come back plus if his toe was to hurt for him to play why stick him in at the end I think Weis was stupid last night.
Answer: Clausen was hurt. He had turf toe.
I think the whole game was better because of this, though. If he was in the whole game, ND wouldn't had had that amazing last second 4th down TD.

Is it possible that CHARLIE WEIS and Romeo Crennel were hired under false pretenses?
Each were coordinators for the Patriots, and were considered among the best at their jobs. Since leaving for Notre Dame and Cleveland, Weis has only succeeded using Ty Willinghams players, and Crennel has spun his wheels in the mud for a few years now.
With the cheating scandal hanging over the New England franchise, is it entirely possible that neither Weis nor Crennel are as brilliant as advertised, and that they only succeeded because of the stealth videotaping?
Sure, this idea is a stretch, but I find it interesting nonetheless.

Answer: No, I think this hire might ACTUALLY WORK at ND.
1. He's got an interesting personality, unlike the others.
-Weis was too arrogant
-Willingham was timid
2.His track record as a HC speaks for itself, and that's at Grand Valley State, CMU and Cincinnati
3.He'll have more resources to be successful then at past stops
4.Despite ND's tough academics, they've recruited very well. I believe he can still do that there.
Good Hire for ND, hate to admit that, but living in Michigan I've seen him do an outstanding job at GVSU and CMU first hand, and so I think he'll do fine at ND.

Obviously Charlie weis is still a great offensive guru in the NFL. As a Raiders fan I would love for him to be the offensive coordinator for this team but several other teams are pursuing this guy.
Answer: Yeah, I bet many teams would like him on their team.
Personally, I would love if ND kept him as an offensive coordinator. All of ND's losses this year were by 7 points or less. Charlie's offense kept it close, but it was his lack of defensive knowledge that kept them from winning those games.
