Why is it that today all the liberals were exicted about RICK PERRY joining the race?
They were all energized about Rick perry but their hatred for Michell Bachman is growing. Do they want Conservatives to have a strong candidate?
Answer: The following are 14 reasons why Rick perry would be a really, really bad president….
#1 Rick perry is a “big government” politician. When Rick perry became the governor of Texas in 2000, the total spending by the Texas state government was approximately $49 billion. Ten years later it was approximately $90 billion. That is not exactly reducing the size of government.
#2 The debt of the state of Texas is out of control. According to usdebtclock.org, the debt to GDP ratio in Texas is 22.9% and the debt per citizen is $10,645. In California (a total financial basket case), the debt to GDP ratio is just 18.7% and the debt per citizen is only $9932. If Rick perry runs for president these are numbers he will want to keep well hidden.
#3 The total debt of the Texas government has more than doubled since Rick perry became governor. So what would the U.S. national debt look like after four (or eight) years of Rick perry?
#4 Rick perry has spearheaded the effort to lease roads in Texas to foreign companies, to turn roads that are already free to drive on into toll roads, and to develop the Trans-Texas Corridor which would be part of the planned NAFTA superhighway system. If you really do deep research on this whole Trans-Texas Corridor nonsense you will see why no American should ever cast a single vote for Rick perry.
#5 Rick perry claims that he has a “track record” of not raising taxes. That is a false claim. Rick perry has repeatedly raised taxes and fees while he has been governor. Today, Texans are faced with significantly higher taxes and fees than they were before Rick perry was elected.
#6 Even with the oil boom in Texas, 23 states have a lower unemployment rate than Texas does.
#7 Back in 1988, Rick perry supported Al Gore for president. In fact, Rick perry actually served as Al Gore’s campaign chairman in the state of Texas that year.
#8 Between December 2007 and April 2011, weekly wages in the U.S. increased by about 5 percent. In the state of Texas they increased by just 0.6% over that same time period.
#9 Texas now has one of the worst education systems in the nation. The following is from an opinion piece that was actually authored by Barbara Bush earlier this year….
• ?We rank 36th in the nation in high school graduation rates. An estimated 3.8 million Texans do not have a high school diploma.
• ?We rank 49th in verbal SAT scores, 47th in literacy and 46th in average math SAT scores.
• ?We rank 33rd in the nation on teacher salaries.
#10 Rick perry attended the Bilderberg Group meetings in 2007. Associating himself with that organization should be a red flag for all American voters.
#11 Texas has the highest percentage of workers making minimum wage out of all 50 states.
#12 Rick perry often gives speeches about illegal immigration, but when you look at the facts, he has been incredibly soft on the issue. If Rick perry does not plan to secure the border, then he should not be president because illegal immigration is absolutely devastating many areas of the southwest United States.
#13 In 2007, 221,000 residents of Texas were making minimum wage or less. By 2010, that number had risen to 550,000.
#14 Rick perry actually issued an executive order in 2007 that would have forced almost every single girl in the state of Texas to receive the Gardasil vaccine before entering the sixth grade. Perry would have put parents in a position where they would have had to fill out an application and beg the government not to inject their child with an untested and unproven vaccine. Since then, very serious safety issues regarding this vaccine have come to light. Fortunately, lawmakers in Texas blocked what Perry was trying to do. According to Wikipedia, many were troubled when “apparent financial connections between Merck and Perry were reported by news outlets, such as a $6,000 campaign contribution and Merck’s hiring of former Perry Chief of Staff Mike Toomey to handle its Texas lobbying work.”
Rick perry has a record that should make all Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians and Independents cringe.

I used to be in the army and i dont think sending our boys to mexico is such a good idea those drug cartels seem to be more ruthless then the terrorist groups the only thing it would do is cost us more money for nothing just like the middle east. Rick perry better leave them people alone or they might find his head in a suitcase on the side of the road somewere.
Answer: Rick perry is right, but there is a big condition to it.
If our military can't take out a bunch of drug dealers in Mexico then we should disband the army and forget about it. But the military would have to fight like they meant it, not the pussy-foot nonsense that has gone on in Iraq and Afghanistan. To win a war against the drug lords every town, village and city within 300 miles of the border would have to be bombed into dust and anyone who got in the way would have to be slaughtered. That would win it for sure, and it could be done in 30 days.
Wars are won by destroying everything and killing everybody. That's the only way you can ever really win.

Rick perry leads Romney 39-23, but it an overall poll of the whole country.
Meaning that the states that are favorable to Romney are the first few and the ones that favor Perry come after that. I know I want Perry to stumble so that Sarah Palin will jump in, but I think Perry being the candidate will be as much a favor to obama than if it was Sarah.

Under Rick perry, the white population of Texas has fallen from nearly 60% to just 45% as per 2010 census.
Answer: His plan is to make it look like he takes Hispanic voters seriously, but in the meantime will advance policies that limit our civil liberties and brand muslims as second class citizens. The end result will be very negative for illegal immigrants. The Bush era demonstrates this.
The smartes thing for hispanics is to vote for Ron Paul who stands for civil liberties and an end to empty necon rhetoric against muslims. Ron Paul will end the poisonous climate in which immigrants are perceived as supposed source of US problems.

What did RICK PERRY accomplish with his response?
The governor of Texas, Rick perry, gathered thousands of Christians together to pray to god to fix the problems of Texas. Did anything change?
Answer: Ok, I'm so tired of this, look. We live in a fallen world and bad things are going to happen until Christ comes back and wipes away all sin. If He did that right now, you'd be swept away so you should thank God for His longsuffering but with people like you, He's damned if He does, and damned if He doesn't because you'd be mad at Him for coming and squashing all the sinners too. The thing with God in relation to us is that He wants an intimate relationship with us and if we allow Him to redeem us, He'll regenerate us and give us a new nature. When we pray, we're building that relationship. He changes us more than He changes outward situations (my opinion) because we become like minded with Him and that paves the way for Him to bring good out of crappy situations. That being said, sometimes He does change outward situations because we pray and it is right for us to ask and keep asking, but God gets the final word. He's not our celestial butler.

Why is RICK PERRY still the governor in Austin TX after all these years?
Im confused. Ricky Perry is the governor of Texas, and he was lieutenant governor with Bush. So, Rick perry takes over for Bush when Bush became president. Now, its 10 years later and Rick perry is still the governor. What gives? I hear there might be an election coming up, but I havent heard anyone talking about who would be the democrat on the ballot. Do you know? How can Perry keep running for governor? Isnt there a two term limit like on the presidency? Oh, and does Perry live in a governors mansion in Austin, or a private residence?
Answer: Perry lives in a temporary mansion while the Governor's mansion is supposed to be rebuilt after having been burned in a 'fire' still under investigation. It has never been solved.
But there are no term limits on how long a Governor can serve in Texas. Perry's reign makes a good case for it though.
Bill White is the Democratic candidate. He's the former mayor of Houston (which does have term limits).
Until he hit term limits, White kept getting re-elected with 91 and 86 percent of the entire citywide vote.
The FBI Director awarded him the Director's Community Leadership Award because of the tremendous drop in crime when he was serving as mayor. He added jobs while cutting property tax rates for five straight years.

I personally kind of agree that a fence perimeter on the entire border wont do much, and that we need manpower and a specialized border patrol to keep illegals out. I live in Arizona and I know that drug traffickers and coyotes can be very creative in getting around physical barricades. Some even go the extent of building underground tunnels that run for miles and miles under the border.
I also agree with Rick perry that it is the federal governments job, not the states, to secure borders.
