Can someone please write me a book review over the hunger games? I always do my homework but things this week have just been completely awful. I had to have a surgery and cant think what so ever. If anyone could help me out that would be great.
Answer: Cheating isn't the way to go. Turn it in late and take the hit for the grade. It may not be fair, but honesty is much more important than getting a perfect grade. You want to be a good person in life, not just a person who has achievements that aren't even your own.

can you guys give me book review on the hunger games?
ok so i need a book review on the hunger games by suzan collions bt please try not to ruin the ending for everybody!!! thanx guys(:
Answer: Great as long as you dont mind a little violence, and romance. its based in the future and the capitol is a awful dictatorship that makes each of the 12 "districts" (they are kinda sorta like countrys) give up one boy and one girl and trap them in an arena and have them fight to the death. the winner becomes like a superstar, but most of the people from the other districts hate them.

How would you review the book series The Hunger Games?
Im deciding if I want to read it.
Answer: I'm towards the end of it, and it's soooo awesome! It's really emotional, even in the first book. It's exciting and you get a real feel for it after a little while. Colins has the perfect amount of description for the characters, background and stuff, and then perfectly equal dialogue alongside it. It hasn't left me bored yet, like so many other books have.

Can I have a summary and review of the Hunger Games?
I have heard it mentioned a lot on here, is it worth a read?
Thank you in advance x
Answer: Reviewed it for my school's newspaper a while back. Here is some of it:
From Suzanne Collins, the author of the Gregor the Overlander series, is a new blend of adventure, suspense and survival with a hint of romance all wrapped up into one novel. The story follows a sixteen-year-old girl named Katniss Everdeen who lives in a post-apocolyptic society. Now the nation Panem has replaced North America, with its cruel Capitol and twelve districts. Every year two teenagers from each of the twelve districts are sent to participate in the Hunger Games, in which they must fight to the death on TV - only one of the twenty four will come out alive. Bravely taking her sister's place, Katniss steps up to compete. And compete she will.
There is not a dull or flat character in the book. Our protagonist, Katniss, is cold but cunning and an expert on survival. One of the characters tells her, "whenever you open your mouth, you come across more as sullen and hostile... You've got about as much charm as a dead slug." But still she is a likeable character who can win others over when she wants to. The other characters are all different with their own sets of strengths and weaknesses, from small but smart Rue to sly Foxface. Peeta Mellark, the other tribute from Katniss's district, may be one of the most confusing characters, because Katniss is never sure whether or not he's just "playing games" with her, tricking her into believing his acts.
The plot is packed with conflict, drama and suspense, with twists at every corner. In this kill-or-be-killed novel, readers will be dying - no pun intended - to find out what will happen to Katniss as well as Peeta and the other tributes. The beginning might seem a bit slow, but it quickly picks up the pace and later the reader will understand why the author does it this way.
As well as being a great read, The Hunger Games asks some important questions, too. Like, "How far would you go to survive?" and "How do you hold on to humanity in such inhumane circumtances?" My favorite part is when Peeta says, "I wish I could think of a way . . . to show the Capitol they don't own me. That I'm more than just a piece in their Games."

TBR; Inside the List
BOSSY, MOODY, BRATTY: Suzanne Collinss Hunger Games trilogy -- its about a dystopian future in which teenagers battle to the death on live TV -- has pretty much owned the childrens series list for a year and a half, and with a movie version of the first book arriving in a couple of weeks, that doesnt seem likely to change anytime soon. - By GREGORY COWLES
For the people who have read The Hunger Games, please review?
For all those who know Haymitch Abernathy, hes one of my favourite characters and I really wanted to develop his games properly so Ive started writing a fan fiction and Im going to post it on fanfiction.net. Anyway I was wondering if any of you would review this first chapter and tell me if its complete crap so that I dont go making a fool of myself. Please and thank you :) (btw Im 14 if that makes any difference)
The crowd around me hums in anticipation. I glance at all the different teenagers, from some of the smallest 12 year olds I have ever seen in my life to Johnny Montague the oldest of us all, built like a tank but with just as many brain-cells. All eyes are focused upon the podium where the mayor of District 12 steps up and tells us all about the great history of Panem and of the events that lead to The Hunger Games all those years ago. It’s the same story we hear every year and by now I think I could just about quote him line for line. I’ve learnt to just tune it out; in fact, I’m just tuning everything out. I daydream for a while about what I could be doing with this nice summer afternoon, until Liddy Reidman’s annoying high pitched voice snaps me out of it. As she takes her place in front of the microphone, she flashes us a huge, white, artificial smile. "Happy Hunger Games, and made the odds be ever in your favour!" She giggles, as though the slaughtering of 48 boys and girls is just ever so delightful. "Now, ladies first!" She says in that affected capitol accent and practically skips over to the girls drawing ball. Everybody watches, frozen, as she draws out, first one slip of paper, than slowly another. She reads the first one, “Jenna Pallmore’, is the name she calls out. ‘Jenna Pallmore, please step up to the stage.’ A girl, Jenna, hesitantly steps forward, the crowd immediately parts to let her through and she makes her way forward. She’s quite obviously from the seam and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen her hanging around Greasy Sae’s counter in the hob, I can tell though that she is younger than me and looks underfed and weedy. She steps up to the stage shaking for all she’s worth. Then Liddy picks up the next slip, "Maysilee Donor." I hear a sharp gasp and turn, and see Maysilee clinging tight to two other girls. I recognise her, we were in the same class when we first started school. I liked her. Next Liddy crosses over to the boys tank. The first name she reads out is Johnny Montague, a collective shudder runs through the crowd. Johnny may not be bright but he packs a mean punch and I’ve seen what he does with his knife in the butchery. However, I barely register him even walking up onto the stage; I am so intent on that next slip of paper. I stare at it, willing for it not to be one of mine. I know it’s stupid to worry, I mean our family isn’t well off but we’re not starving so I didn’t have to sign up for tesserae. And, after all, there are thousands of slips of paper in that tank. The odds are very much in my favour. In fact, I have entirely convinced myself that that slip couldnt possibly mine when Liddy Reidman reads out, "Haymitch Abernathy." I feel my legs numbly walking up the stage, my face is completely deadpan, I will not let the camera’s see how desperate I am, on the inside I am begging, begging for someone to take my place. No one volunteers. I knew they wouldn’t. I have no siblings, and any friends I might have would never take up the position of sacrifice. I am still standing on the stage when the mayor approaches us to shake hands, I am still standing on the stage as the anthem plays, and I am still standing on the stage when we turn to the crowd and make our public vows to win. No matter, what, I am determined to win. I will come home. Back to District 12. The thought brings a smile to my lips, which I leave there because, after all, if the camera’s pick it up, and they will, it will look like I am already ready to kill. And I am.
Thank you to those who answered, your comments have been quite helpful. I would also like to point out the fact that Haymitch was not running away, he was running because he thought that maybe at the end of the arena he could find something to use.
Answer: Hm....
Haymitch doesn't sound all that brave, not even when he wasn't an alcoholic. If you remember, in his Quarter Quell, he literally ran away until he reached the end.
Also, you forgot to mention this, it's a Quarter Quell year, Haymitch could not know it word for word because it's a special year where the President has read a card stating that in honor of the rebellion and how twice as many more rebels died than the others, twice as many children are to be selected to fight.
You need to mention the bloodbath, and the fact that Haymitch will not be entering a game where the odds are in his favor by any means.
You also need to mention his family, which mind you was killed off after the games.
