Answer: Not that I know of, I've been to Bristol but not raced there. I'm only 13 so I don't know how to relate but that shouldn't be the case. That is most likely just a myth. In fact, holding your breath would be worse. Besides, its not like Talladega where you're hitting 100 mph on turns. They only go about 80-90 mph while going around turns. I think that would have to be asked directly to a Nascar driver.

What changes did BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY make?

Im just curious since I have only been twice to the Bristol races, what kind of changes did they make to the race there? I hear people talking about how badly it sucks. We went this past weekend and two years ago, this past weekend had so many empty seats, I was shocked. Thanks for your help!
Answer: The old concrete surface that was put down in 1992 was worn down, so the track was redone a couple years ago. It was reconfigured slightly to widen the racing surface, and the banking in the corners was changed from 36 degrees to incremental banking that is 26 degrees at the bottom and 30 degrees at the top. The new surface and incremental banking has allowed more side by side racing, and the amount of contact between cars was reduced. It changed the way drivers race the track so the bump-and-run style of racing that use to exist there, which helped Bristol be so popular, has been paired down greatly.

My family is going down to bristol for the race this weekend. My uncle has a municipal issued handicap sticker valid in NJ. We are trying to get a spot in the handicap area because it hurts for him to walk. Bristol motor speedways website says that it has to be state valid. is that the same thing as municipal valid?
Answer: I don't understand what you are asking. Handicapped ID's for parking must meet the Federal Guidelines for the Americans with Disabilities Act. I would call Bristol guest information at 423-989-6942 and ask them specifically what they mean. A handicapped parking id given out by NJDMV should be valid in any State. I know they are valid on Federal Government sites. (My late mother was handicapped)

Advice about good seats to watch a race at BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY?

Im from another country, been living in Johnson City for 1 year and got hooked on NASCAR. Which terrace is the best to watch a race at Bristol motor speedway that is not so expensive. Of course im excluding suites and the very pricy seats. Would also like to know what is the best way to get there, because I know its so crowded that its impossible to drive or to find a parking space. Are there any "buses" or transportation that may take you to and from the race?
Answer: There are really no bad seats at Bristol; only good and better. Bristol is a 1/2 mile track (which is very short for a race track) and all of the action can be seen from anywhere. Seats To Avoid - Nearly every seat at the speedway is good but you may want to avoid seats in the Waltrip section above row 55. The poles that hold up the suites may obstruct your view of the track.

Which campground is the best at BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY?

We are going down for the august race and was wondering which campground is the best for the parties?
Answer: I've never stayed at Bristol, but as far as other tracks go, it doesn't really matter. All campgrounds will have parties going on, no questions asked. There are certain campgrounds at certain races that tend to get more wild, but again, every campground will have parties. A lot of people (including myself) will simply go through different sites, and have some fun. If you have someone with a truck, it's a lot of fun. I went to Talladega a few times, and one of my Dad's friends drove his truck to the race. We all used to pile up in the bed, and drive through all of the different campgrounds. Most campgrounds are relatively close to eachother, so they're not hard or long trips. I do like to have a good time, but I also like my sleep. If I was to go back now, I would probably try to locate a relatively calm campground to stay at. Reason being, I would much rather go out to party, but have a relatively quiet place to sleep.

Who do you think has the best chance of winning this weekends NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Bristol motor speedway on Sunday March 21st? Im hoping for Kurt Busch. What do you think?
Answer: I want Dale Earnhardt, Jr. to win, because he has won there before and he has good runs there, and he seems to be improving from last year, but I would have to say Kyle Busch. Busch came off to a bad start, but I think he can rebound at Bristol, he won there last year so I think he has a good shot in the Food City 500. Also, look for the RCR drivers to have a good run and continue to be consistent. Also, Mark Martin and Jeff Gordon have a shot at it too. I would stay away from Jimmie Johnson because he hasn't won there yet and he hasn't been very consistent at Bristol, unlike Martinsville. Kurt Busch can also be a contender for it, and I believe his win at Atlanta will give him a lot of confidence going into the race. Denny Hamlin is another contender, but he has a lot of bad luck at Bristol and other Nascar tracks, although, I think this time he can turn things around and possibly get a win. My Top 25 Picks: 1. How do you get a Pit Pass at BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY?

I am going to the race this weekend, leaving thursday and returning monday. I was wondering how to get a pit pass for friday and the races if possible. I really want one friday cause i hear thats the best time to meet and get autographs from the drivers. I went to the tracks website but i couldnt find anything, i also emailed the ticket office, but i dont know when they will email me back if they ever do.
