Answer: Basically, Proportional, stands for "gain", i.e., a negative feedback multiplier. It will reduce the drift of the controlled variable. However, there is only so much negative feedback gain you can apply, before the system turns unstable. On the other hand, some systems can take infinite negative feedback, in which case it becomes an "on-off" system. Integral action, aka by its inverse, or "reset", is the accumulation of the error over time. IOW, negative feedback is increased over time. Its purpose is to reduce the residual error that "P", or gain only, cannot eliminate. It has a clearly destabilizing effect and works only after the disturbance dies out. Derivative action, aka as "rate". generates a negative feedback proportional to the "rate of change" of the error signal. This, in turn, anticipates the disturbance and reduces the excursion of the output error, in theory. It is mostly used when controlling temperature, because of the many time lags a temperature loop has. It requires an additional effort from the power source. .

Now she could have had a bacterial infection that could have been present for a number of years before leading to Pid. Treatment is aggressive and will require a frequent followup. Answer: IVF would work if you cant get pregnant naturally because the embryo is implanted directly into your uterus! I dont know much about Pid but if all else fails then at least you may have a chance with IVF.

What are the compliations with getting pregnant and with the baby after PID?

Had Pid 2xs now slim to none to get pregnant and want to know what complications can arise with me and with the baby, (if I can have a baby) other than ectopic pregnancy.
Answer: You need to have a hysterosalpingogram(HSG) test to look at your fallopian tubes. Pid can cause complete blockage of the tubes and you will not be able to get pregnant naturally. Your only option will be IVF. Pid can also cause hydrosalpinx which is toxic fluids in the tubes. Even if you do IVF with hydrosalpinx tube, your IVF will not be successful. The hydro fluid is toxic to the embryos and therefore, you will have to remove your tubes before doing IVF. I really hope you will not have to go through all the hell that is involved with infertility and hope your tubes are not damaged.

Answer: The Mother of my Daughter Athena had a form of Pid in one tube, and had it removed about 4 months before conception. The removal of the tube was enough to make pain that came every other month go away for the first time in several years for her. There are many working on the replacing & repair of Fallopian Tubes, up to and including growing new ones with YOUR DNA so there will be no rejection. They have been doing this with throat cancer and heart valve replacement for several years now. They use a device not unlike a ink jet printer, and stem cells made from YOUR skin cells, and introduce healthy Fallopian Tube cells as they "Print" the new tube. My Sister recently went in for terrible menstrual cramping, and found that her tubes had not only been blocked, but that years worth of eggs were ejected from the backside of the tubes. Have blood tests run for the gambit of root causes, as some of them can still attack other parts of your body. also think about having a few of YOUR eggs extracted and saved while they are doing these things with your body... As far as a Pill for a quick fix, there are pain blockers, but this is a trap. Taking something to reduce the pain threshold requires more and more of the drug as time goes on. You have it with in you to tell your body to repair itself, and it will. MOST never train their mind to this extent. I know of some accupunture that can make some kinds of pain go away, as well as the 2 points on either end of the spine for pain... Seek out a Pain management specialist as well if you oppt to keep your parts. I have seen where just cutting the tubes releived some pain for some Women, but as I said, seek out 3 OBGYN's. ME! .

How soon after unprotected sex with a man who has a girlfriend with PID should I get tested for PID?

I had unprotected sex with a man who I later found out had a girlfriend with whom he was having unprotected sex with. That girlfreind has been diagnosed with Pelvic Inflamatory Disease (Pid). How soon do I get tested for Pid?
Answer: Bad move, but you cannot get a Pid from having unprotected sex. However, you can get a Pid from gonorrhea or another pathogen that he might be carrying, which arises from the vagina into the uterus and then the tubes. Get checked for any STD and watch for symptoms of any abdominal pain, on either side, lower abdomen. And how about prenancy?

How long do you have to have had chlamydia for in order for it to turn into PID?

I have just found out that ive tested positive for chlamydia however i know that i have had it for at least 2 years and am worried that i now have Pelvic inflamitary disease. I have had lower abdomanal pains and a fever and unusual disscharge. Am wondering weather this could be symptoms of Pid.
Answer: ive heard the Pid abdominal pains are VERYY painful. everyone is diff so if you got treatment already, take it, dont have sex for 2 weeks, and itl go away [chlamydia]. now w the Pid. talk to your gyn or someone about this. it woulld be best to schedule an appt with a dr to check the scarring in your reproductive system [kinda surgery like they make an incision and put a lil camera and look] or even get a sonogram [which may show damage but not necesarily]. if there is damage drs can clear it im pretty sure.
