hi my hair thinning,,its not dry or anything and i reduce my hair washing to 2 days once and its still falling out....ive been taking horsetail vitamins (said to strengthen hair)....and im using hair fall shampoos.....and after the first day of not washing my hair, when i run my fingers through my hair it comes out alot like 10 strands....please help me im freaking out

Answer: While I think horsetail is very cool looking, I do not grow it on purpose. In most places horsetail is a concedered a weed, it can be very invasive as each section of broken root can become a new colony (very much like wild moring glory) Since horsetail is a pre-historic plant that is almost impossible to kill or poison, if you are attempting to "control it" or it's looking kinda worn/brown cut it down any old time that is convenient for you. If you are attempting to get rid of it, a mix of liquid soap (a small amount, and I don't know if liquid detergent works or not) and Roundup seems to do well. The soap makes it stick to the plant better.

Ive been losing alot of hair?

I used to have thick dark brown/ auburn hair but recently its started falling out. It isnt noticeable yet, except to me because i know how thick my hair used to be. Im losing (i think) about 100 strands a day, which isnt normal for me. At the most i normally lose about 10 to 15 strands a day. It started after i dyed my hair black. I also noticed i was really low on vitamin B. Recently (yesterday) i started taking vitamin C and biotin supplements that have vitamin B in it, Ive also started eating a lot of greek yogurt. Does anyone know if this will help, or if i should just go to the doctor. I had taken another kind of biotin pill before, but that made my hair fall out when i took it. I thought it was a fluke so i took it again and the hair loss continued. The old brand has horsetail and a lot of other natural additives. The new brand has vitamins in it. Im hoping it works, but i would like to know if anyone else is goin through this, or has gone through this.

Hi! I have never ever had problems with my hair but 2 months ago I suddenly started losing WAY too much hair (approximately 500 a day). By far Ive lost almost 1/2 of my hair and it keeps on falling! I take 6 pills of Revalid every day, an iron supplement and drink disgusting horsetail and nettle to stop it but nothing seems to work. I am really worried, Im just 18 and really dont want to lose all my hair. Did anyone have similar problem? Can you recommend an effective remedy? Oh, and yes, I have consulted a specialist, he said that I should take iron supplements... Please, please, help me! :)
