Does anyone know how to make the CORNED BEEF HASH the same as Morrisons used to sell on their deli counter?

Top pastry was flaky and dry, filling was dry and amazing with a very thin slightly stodgy texture. All in it was the most amazing Corned beef hash in the entire world. I have tried to make it myself and failed miserably, i am obviously missing some of their tricks. If you used to work on the deli at Morrisons and know how to make this please please let me know.
Answer: A tin of cheap corned beef,(diced) some cooked potatoes (diced) and some small diced onion. Fry the onion in oil and when soft add the potatoes and fry 'til golden. Put Diced CB on top and let heat thru' for another couple of mins.Ready to serve. I make a little gravy to go with it.(sometimes throw in a pinch of herbs and a splash of Worcester. Time with prep about 15 mins. Eat alone or let it cool and wrap in some shop bought puff pastry and cook for 20 mins (or until cooked/)

Answer: First I dice a potato or two and sautée in a little oil until tender and slightly browned, about half way through I add a diced onion and sautée together with the potatoes. Once the potatoes are done, and the onion transparent, hash your corned beef and add to the pan mixing well, allowing to fry a few minutes...Then I make "holes" in the mixture with a ladle and break an egg in each hole... Cover and allow to cook until the white is solid. (I usually cover the pan for a few minutes). You may add grated cheese if you like and allow it to melt over the eggs. Another thing that can be added is a sliced tomato (under the grated cheese). You can do all this in one frying pan, or change from the pan to an oven dish, and do the last part in the oven...

Reheating CORNED BEEF HASH?

I am planning on freezing a large batch of Corned beef hash in containers and am wondering the following - 1. How do I reheat? 2. Do I need to leave it to thaw or can I cook it from frozen? 3. How long will it last in the freezer? Can you recommend other meals to make in advance and freeze? Can the same be done for Chilli and Bolognese and if so the same questions apply as above? How long can it stay in the freezer for?
Answer: It will last a couple of months in the freezer. You will need to thaw it before reheating it so freeze it in a container that is the size that you will serve. After thawing, you can fry it in a little oil just to heat through. You can also reheat in a microwave or oven but it might be a bit soggy. Try it both ways and see what you prefer. You can freeze tons of things and yes, chili and any red pasta sauce freezes well. Just thaw first. Pasta sauce and chili, once thawed, should be reheated on low in a regular saucepan.

Answer: It was about two years ago tomorrow when I became obsessed with Mimi's Cafe Corned beef hash. I remember I started out with a cordial yet heartfelt request to the owner on a peanuts hallmark card i sent through the mail. Well after 3 weeks there was no response so i decided that I would go the cafe and order the hash. I requested to compliment the chef but he refused to let his answer go. He told me, " If I do that, then I wouldn't have people like you making my day with a compliment." He was a polite fellow with dark glasses that had a slight tilt. I remember almost reaching for his face to straighten them out but he looked a but timid and his eyes seemed to tell of a history of sorrow. So I emptied my wallet and through some in there. As I walked out the door I saw that they do give containers for leftovers. I just figured with a secret so well gaurded that they wouldn't do that. I have this anorexic friend named Arturo who is an excellent chef but hates food. If i bring him anything he can replicate it. So i brought him the contents of my wallet and he took it apart. I could almost see the wheels in his brain spinning as he sampled a bit of the hash with the tips and side of his tongue. What happened next just about killed me. He says, " I recognize this!!" This is Mimi's cornbeef hash. I can't give you the formula forthis! It was my dead wife's receipe. Apparently his anorexia was a form of boycotting life for having abandoned him with solitude. Most people would have called it quits there but I was addicted to hash. So I quit my job as a honda car sales man, a job i was damn good at. Nobody could sell elements like I could...thats how good i was. I worked my way as dish washer to busboy and finally one day the timid cook called me to the back and said, I'll teach you how to make my sister's hash. Eureka i thought!!! I was so happy and then one day, as if irony had decided to manifest itself in aroundabout way, an old woman came back to compliment the chef. She wanted to know how I make the hash. She had the sweetest look on her face and I just remembered the time when I was in her shoes. So i politely called her to me and whispered, " Never." That is why I can not in good conscience reveal the reciepe to you. Thank you and good day.

If he likes it crispy, cook without stirring til the bottom is as crispy as he liks it, then flip a spatula-sized piece at a time, and fry on the other side. If he likes it not so crispy, just stir it in the pan while cooking until its heatd through.

Answer: Recipe: Homemade Corned beef hash Sautee 1/2 yellow onion in 1/2 stick butter until just starting to caramelize. Add 1 small clove minced garlic. Sautee another minute or so. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon flour over mixture and cook over medium heat about 2 or 3 minutes. Add 1 tablespoon beet horseradish, 1/2 tsp. worchestershire sauce and about 2/3 cup beef broth. Thicken over medium heat. Add 1/2-1 cup diced corned beef and 1 baked potato, skinned and chopped fine. (I do my potato in the microwave and let it sit while I prepare the rest--it'll be cool enough to handle one the rest is ready.) Stir together and bring heat up to high. Cook until most of the moisture is gone and the hash browns on the bottom. Turn in 2 or 3 sections and slip a little butter underneath and brown the other side. Serve with a fried or poached egg on top and Irish soda bread, toasted, on the side.
