when these boys were 14 , said Eddie long thee so-called bishop in atlanta, coersed them in to having sex with him and said thats what god wanted them to do. and futhermore what was he doing taking these boys to africa for it sure wasnt to reconnect them with their african roots. answer that for me.
Answer: Doesn't matter if took them to Africa, to "reconnect with there roots". There are laws in the U.S. that prevent this type of behavior. Even though he took them to a foreign country, and the acts occurred in a different country, he can still be charged in the U.S. for soliciting sex to a minor. Just because he is a bishop doesn't mean that he is above the law. Getting his freak on with minors is still not okay.
So yes, he should go to prison.

The Bishop EDDIE LONG sexual misconduct suit. What exactly are the young men suing him for if they were willin?
if the were above the age of consent in Georgiam which is 16 when they had the sexual relationship with Eddie long? I do not see the legal issue tho I do see the moral issue
now personally, I think Long did what he is accused of, but what I am not sure is where they have a case against him. so what if he (as I quote Rick James) loved them and left them. If that was a reason to sue, then most adults could sue at least one ex boyfriend and girlfriend.
Answer: People can sue and probably will sue for any reason. This reminds me of the McDonald's lawsuit where a lady sued McDonald's because she claimed her coffee was too hot and spilled it. She ended up getting a hefty sum. That's the problem with the legal system now; it makes it so easy for people to just sign some papers and hold a trial over nonsense or situations that were never illegal to begin with. There's is nothing illegal about what Bisop Eddie did; it's just looked down upon.

Why are so many people so afraid to speak out and offer their opinions and comments about EDDIE LONG?
Ive been extremely interested in hearing more about the recently exposed scandal Eddie was involved in. Sherri Shepherd made a comment on the view but no one else involved in the media seems to want to speak on it. Does anyone know why? I think he did molest those boys and should be faced with serious consequences and it makes me so upset that America is sweeping it under the rug as if nothing occurred!
Answer: Ok. If you did something wrong your self, say you were rude to your teacher, or in anger you back handed a student at college.
Are people then justified in beginning to accuse you and comment on other comments people have made about you - who do not know you and, or, behind your back?
It is the same thing.
The only people who can speak out or act on what any kind of offender has done, is the Authority or the Criminal Justice System - without prejudice and opinion because they have the truth, legalistically.
And I say Authority because there are different Institutions of such. Including the Church of God who have to deal with him before any outside Institution which is clearly documented in 1 Corinthians 6:1-9.
So we should all keep our mouths closed shut.

Answer: Yeah, because historically the people that gay-bash the loudest from the pulpit are usually the ones caught with the rent boy in the hotel room. I just asked a question about this, so I researched church scandals. 37 preachers that were adamantly opposed to homosexuality and protested gay rights have been "outed" in the past ten years.
I won't say he's guilty for sure because he's entitled to his day in court, but those pics look damaging and like I said, historically, there is a long line of this sort of thing.
I think he's going to turn out to be another Haggard or Paulk. Or Rekers.
It's sad though...there must be a lot of self-loathing in people like that. How can you preach such hatred (Long called homosexuality a "spiritual abortion") when it's a part of you? Haggard really creeped me out when he got busted because he was sooooo hateful of gays.

I go to church to give my money to GOD and his organization not to my pastor for paychecks or for my pastors wrong doings. It makes no sense to follow a man that says he is coming to give knowledge about GOD because he was selected from GOD but then you basically commit one of the worst sins and that "men lying with men". He disgusting and pathetic. Although, I wouldn't of mind being one of the people he paid off.

Still the "gay" claims against him could just be a little too far for Fox to cover as Conservatives hate gays as they are considered to have Liberal inclinations, that and they might catch gay cooties.
