Do u think ANDREW BYNUM was the missing piece that the Lakers needed to beat the Celtics?

Sure, Andrew bynum brings rebounding and blocked shots but would that have been enough to win the title?
Answer: What up Peter S, i think a healthy Andrew bynum may have made a difference. Bynum's presence makes life easier for Pau and Odom. The Lakers in their series with the Celtics definitely needed more toughness which is what Bynum would have given them- and in a couple of the early games the Lakers were getting killed with 2nd chance points. Pau was soft against the Celtics- but Bynum can finish near the hoop. i don't know if he would have been enough to overcome the Celtics- a lot of it will be seen this season when we see how the chemistry is between the Laker frontcourt. They certainly could have used him. Bynum was also leading the league in field goal percentage before he got hurt. He's a legitimate 7 foot so he definitely can affect the offensive spacing and gives the Lakers another post presence. All what-if(s) are just that... i just know that the Lakers would have had a better chance with him then without him. Overall though most of the Lakers played subpar series- so i'm not sure that Bynum would have been enough for them to overcome the Celtics who finished the season playing their best ball. Nickster

Yes, Kobe has to play well for the Lakers to win a championship. But, he played well last year, and the Lakers lost in the finals to the Celtics. So, if Andrew bynum keeps up his strong performances and gets his share of rebounds and points, do you think that will win the Lakers a championship? I think it will.
Answer: Possibly. I mean he's come back and had some pretty good games, shutting down Duncan and whatnot. But on the flip side, he also has been injured and we don't know if it's a fluke. Plus, it wasn't the fact that the Lakers didn't have enough points or boards, they were playing the Celtics who had KG, Paul Pierce, and Ray Ray. 3 guys you gotta cover. Tim Duncan isn't much different from KG, both big guys. But KG i think has a better shot, and to play really good D in a 7 game series on KG is rough. If Kobe keeps on doing what he does, and bench people like Sasha Vujacic step up, I think Andrew bynum could definitely help out the Lakers.

Is ANDREW BYNUM (From the Lakers) Gonna Be a great Center in the Lakers Future with Kobe for a championship?

Will Kobe and Bynum be Better than the Shaq and Kobe? Will Andrew and Kobe win a championship together?
Answer: Andrew bynum has a chance to be better than Shaq. If he not only keeps on doing what he does right now...but he also makes himself better. He's young and that's why he's lost at times but once he gets older and experience comes....I'm pretty sure he will be in the same level as Shaq or better. He is showing a lot potential and with one of the greatest Centers in the history of basketball teaching him...he will himself be one of the greatest. As for the Bynum and Kobe being better than the Shaq and Kobe tandem...pretty sure they will be better because for one...Bynum is a whole lot younger than Kobe and I think Kobe's veteranism(if there is such a word) will help out. Kobe will be older and so Bynum will follow Kobe's leadership. I do believe Kobe will be at ease also that Bynum is younger than him. A Championship...definitely. Right now...the Lakers have a very young lineup. A veteran was added and wow did they perk up this year. They have slowly snuck up in the west and have beaten Phoenix twice! Bynum is one of the reasons for that. In the coming years as the young ones on the Lakers develop...Bynum and Kobe will have a championship together.

Answer: i believe so.. but i also think that him being injured is actually a blessing in disguise. if you think about it, the lake show would've not traded for Pau Gasol.. everyone knows that Bynum was on his way to a breakout season for the Lakers.. but we all can't say anything for sure.. let's just see.. after just witnessing the finals and losing, he should have some inner fire all ready for battle.. he is out there to prove something.. again.. also, the factor that Pau and Lamar go to their natural spot makes it easier..

first of all, if the lakers win it all, would Andrew bynum recieve a championship ring? in other words, do players on the injured reserve list get a ring? now if the lakers win it all, what impact would andrew have on the team? would he mess up the chemistry or would the team likely win another title? would they be a dynasty?
Answer: I think everyone gets a ring. Executives, coaching staff, players. Anyone who contributed and is still on the roster. Even Chris Mihm! Next year or the year after they could be challenging the record for wins. With four legitimate All-Stars (Kobe, Odom, and Pau have been and Andrew could be), great role players (Fisher, Walton, Turiaf, Farmar, Sasha) they have all the right pieces. Even if Fisher starts to show his age Farmar is coming along fine and could start and Fisher could be the deep threat (kind of like Kerr and Paxson). This team is pretty young as well. I think Andrew just gives Phil more options on how he'd like to play. He can go big with Pau, Odom, and Bynum, or run a bit with Farmar, Sasha, Odom, Bryant, and Walton. He could basically match up with any defense thrown at him or send out the right type of defense for any team. And besides being young, they've all got experience. Three years in a row in the playoffs. And look at how many of them have started games this season: Bryant, Bynum, Odom, Gasol, Fisher, Ariza, Turiaf, Walton, Radmonovic, and even Mihm. Things look good for years to come!

Answer: GOOD move. Reports say that he went from playing one on one with the team trainer, to 5 on 5 with teammates, and he dominated the whole time. I guess this means Drew is ready and we are really missing his presence right now. Let's hope that Odom doesn't slide back into bad habits. Answer: He has missed the Lakers last 10 games and will miss up to 8 weeks. He dislocated his left knee cap. This type of injury can be very severe or it can be minor...Bynum's case isn't that severe. My sister actually dislocated her knee cap and was back playing for her high school varsity team in about 3-4 weeks. He is projected to be back in time for the end of the season and the playoffs (granted the Lakers are still there). off NBA.com - "Update: Bynum will miss a minimum of eight weeks after MRI tests revealed a subluxation of the patella and a bone bruise of his left knee, the Associated Press reports." He was putting up 13/10 and that includes his numbers before he was a starting playing big mins. I can see him coming back and taking a few games to get back into his groove...he will probably come off the bench to start. But he will get back in there, probably with a knee brace, and put up what became his usual numbers. With Gasol now on the Lakers I would assume they Lakers wouldn't rush Bynum back, but that they would make sure he is fully healed. A big man tandum of Bynum and Gasol will be very potent. Bynums numbers might drop off this Gasol's inside presence though. So if you have someone to drop and can with stand having him sit on your bench for 5-8 weeks i would do it. He is becoming a top NBA fantasy center. good luck

Answer: Well, yes, because Lamar Odom is forced to start causing the bench to be a little thin. When Bynum is playing, Odom goes back to what he does best, and that is being the sixth man. When someone like Bynum goes down, it causes Odom to start and then someone on the bench has to step up.
