What does it mean to constantly dream about TORNADOES?
I atleast have 4 dreams once a month about Tornadoes, and Im tired of seeing them. In reality Im truely afraid of Tornadoes the most out of any other kind of storm.
Answer: Hello Lady Jazz,
Tornadoes in dreams consistently represent fears of separation from our families. I often wonder if this is because so many of us, in the USA, grew up watching “The Wizard of Oz” (where Dorothy is separated from her family by a tornado). Or if it, more likely, is due to the fact that, during a tornado, our immediate thoughts and concerns are to locate and assure the safety of our families - as soon as possible. Tornadoes also are sudden storms. They are hard to predict, and the devastation that trails in their wake is severe. Accordingly, Tornadoes also can symbolize “violent” and “unpredictable” events in our lives - and personalities that we know. Either or both these metaphors may be at work in your dreams.

What causes landfalling hurricanes to spawn TORNADOES east of their track?
The purpose of this question is is for me to fully understand how Tornadoes are spawned to the east of the landfalling hurricanes track. Why does this happen and what are the factors that behind their formation?
Answer: It is not necessarily confined to the east of the track, but anyway hurricanes can be prolific tornado spawners particularly in their outer rainbands well away from the center. This is because this area tends to have greater instability and the wind structure around the hurricane is such that low level wind shear (winds changing in speed and direction as altitude increases) is typically fairly large as well. Closer to the center those conditions are not as well pronounced.

What makes the area that is Tornado Alley more prone to TORNADOES than other areas?
I know WHY its called Tornado Alley, but why is it more prone to Tornadoes than other areas? Is it because theres a greater expanse of flat/flatish land?

"The relatively flat land in the Great Plains allows cold dry polar air from Canada to meet warm moist tropical air from the Gulf of Mexico. A large number of Tornadoes form when these two air masses meet..."

TORNADOES?
Is there an explanation to these constant Tornadoes?
Global warming, maybe?
Are these occurrences a symbol for worse things to come?
I think so
What do you think?
Answer: it's not global warming, and they're not a symbol that worse things are going to come. Most Tornadoes form from thunderstorms. You need warm, moist air from the Gulf of Mexico and cool, dry air from Canada. When these two air masses meet, they create instability in the atmosphere. A change in wind direction and an increase in wind speed with increasing height creates an invisible, horizontal spinning effect in the lower atmosphere. Rising air within the updraft tilts the rotating air from horizontal to vertical. An area of rotation, 2-6 miles wide, now extends through much of the storm. Most strong and violent Tornadoes form within this area of strong rotation.

Possible that Arkansas TORNADOES caused chemical to drop on river?
I noticed that the dead fish and the birds are in the northern part of Arkansas, and it was precisely in the norh where the Tornadoes hit on New Years Eve. The cause for the animals death could well be that the Tornadoes hit something chemical somewhere and spread it.
Does any one think this too?
Thanks to everyone for interest in my question. And Dj Bitler, congratulations on such fast work! I only hope people in Arkansas get to know soon whats really going on.
Answer: I did some research on line. It seams that Franklin county Ar. has several chemical plants including Eastman Chemical, Ozark gas pipeline, Sgl carbon corp, Correll inc, amala refining and mybiggestt concern is theWitco Chemical plant that is on the Arkansas River. Chem pro is located just west of the big fish kill on the Arkansas River in Franklin county. This area is less than 100 miles from Beebe as the crow flies. Which of course is where the 3000 dead crows dropped from the sky" after having a heart attack do to fireworks (according to the national news). My sources for my response are: epa-ttn naaqs arkansas state plant index. I took this information from the Franklin co fish kill article and the Beebe bird death article put both locations on map quest and superimposed the Epa study plant locations and found them to be a bit peculiar. In addition the national weather service showed no lighting in the area on the eve of 12/31 to 1/1. The Arkansas river flows within 20 miles of Beebe just west of Little Rock. I don,t know about Tornadoes but I do believe that the proximity of the various chemical plants and the close proximity of both events point to a possible link between the two.

What do several TORNADOES mean in a dream?
Ive dreampt of Tornadoes (3 or more) several times before. I can always see them forming along the hills and valleys and they never come close but theyre always out there. The latest dream had a cloudless day and one cloud spun around forming a blanket of clouds and Tornadoes popped up. It never storms or rains. And when we go to shelter, Im always the oldest child there.
So what do these symbols (I guess thats what they can be called?) mean?
Answer: The tornados symbolize destructive uncontrollable forces in your life. As they dont come close and u are able to shelter from them i think this symbolizes that u are able to deal with unforseen circumstances that everyone goes through in life in a mature and controlled way. What ever life throws at u, you are well equipped to handle and being the oldest child in the dream sybolizes how responsible you are and how people look to you for guidance when times are tough.

How come TORNADOES occur most frequently on the north american continent?
oddly enough, the only tornado ive ever seen was in Germany, but it is a well known fact that the vast majority of Tornadoes form on the north american continent (1000 or so every year, more or less? must be something like that). Why is that?
Answer: There is cold Canadian air to the north, and warm, moist air from the Gulf Of Mexico. These two air masses meet, and thunderstorms develop. Many storms occur along frontal boundaries. Hot and dry air masses from the southwest can also meet with warm, humid air from the Gulf of Mexico. This is called a dryline. Thunderstorms form here too, and can occasionally produce Tornadoes.
A cold front contains cold air, and the cooler air moves into an area with warm, moist air. The cold air allows the warm, moist air to rise, which is called convection. This can cause air to rise quickly, creating thunderstorms. Cooler air aloft is factor for thunderstorm formation.
Rotating thunderstorms, called supercells, are the type of thunderstorm that produces most Tornadoes. The updraft of the storm rotates, which cause funnel clouds to form. Once the funnel cloud reaches the ground, it is called a tornado.
Basically it is because of conflicting air masses and the topography of the United States. Cold drier air from the north meets up with moist humid air from the Gulf of Mexico, which causes thunderstorms, sometimes producing Tornadoes, to form. The Gulf of Mexico has a strong influence on the weather, esp in the surrounding Gulf states.
