Who has the biggest ballpark in the Majors?
I always narrow it down to 3, Comerica (Detroit Tigers) Park, Miami Dolphins stadium (Florida Marlins), and AT&T (San Fran Giants).
I always thought that it was the Giants but the Marlins park is 436 to center and over 400 feet to right-center. Also, Comerica is a bomb, 420 to dead center and 425 to right and left of dead center. However, the San Fran Giants is an absolute bomb to right.
Please enlighten me!
Answer: American League:
Comerica Park Detroit Tigers Dimensions: 345-L, 382-LC, 420-C, 365-RC, 330-R
National League:
Toss up between Minute Maid Park Houston Astros Dimensions: 315-L, 362-LC, 435-C,
373-RC, 326-R
And
Dolphin Stadium Florida Marlins Dimensions: 330-L, 360-LC, 434-C, 361-RC, 345-R
But understand, the ball parks years ago were ALLOT bigger, even the older parks that have been around along time, have been made smaller: example Yankee Stadium today is 408' in center field, when it first opened it was 500' in center field, and that wasn't even the biggest in its day, some past the 500' mark in center. West Side Park, where the Chicago Cubs played from 1893 - 1915, was 560' to center field, and there were some even bigger than that, but I can't remember what park they were.

How ugly is the new Marlins logo?
The Miami Marlins (formerly the Florida Marlins) logo just looks hideous. IMO. The colors do not match. It looks more like an amusement park logo than a baseball teams logo. I like the Marlin in the old logo. How about making it more look like a pro sports team, rather than making it look like six flags.
Answer: I find it quite ugly. I actually think the Marlin coming out of it is cool, but the 'M' is awful, both in font and, more importantly, the having a different color for each side...Ugh.

Is It Time To Pull The Marlins Out Of Miami?
Today the Marlins drew an estimated 600 actual fans to the park. It is also estimated that they sold around 11,000 tickets. But to have only 600 fans show up. Some say that it was the heat as well as both teams being out of it. I say bull. Minor league teams playing in Arizona still draw a few thousand so this is a poor excuse. I say pull the Marlins out of Florida ASAP and put them into a city that would appreciate having a major league baseball team.
Answer: they need to get out of dolphin stadium
that place is horrible it is a foot ball place not a baseball place
where would the marlins go most of the citys are already occupied by a team already

* Itll fall well short.
Answer: Sure
Actually, it should be a good Opening Day. It will be interesting to see how the Cardinals respond after losing Pujols to the Angels. By the way, I still have them winning the NL Central. As for the Marlins, there will be a lot of people coming to their home games this year. They have a team that is going to contend for the postseason with the aquisitions of Buehrle, Reyes, and Bell.
BQ: I'm going to say Mike Stanton!

I would LoVe to see him sign with the Marlins. So, that way theyll give the Phillies HELL in trying to keep the division to themselves and to win it. So that way it wont be a walk in the park with that weak division. I hope he signs with the Marlins and I hope he makes a decision today.

Why is the 09 team a start-and-park team?
Phoenix Racing has consistent sponsorship from Miccosukee, so how come they still park the car? Whenever Keselowski or Fellows is driving, they dont park it, but when Marlin or Bliss is driving, they always seem to throw in the towel even though the car is logoed with Miccosukee.
Also the 71 team sometimes gets sponsorship, yet they still park it. Why is that? Thanks in advance.
Answer: When Marlin and Bliss are driving it is a Dodge and they get engines from Ernie Elliott. When Keselowski and Fellows are driving, they are using Hendrick cars and Hendrick engines which cost a lot more money to buy. Phoenix Racing can't afford more than about 12 races of Hendrick support. My guess is that they start and park the car when Marlin and Bliss are driving just to earn money and spend most of their money and effort when Keselowski and Fellows are in the car because that's when they have the best equipment.
I've seen the #71 car try to go the whole race a few times in the past couple months. They probably save up money then try to run the whole race when they think they have a good chance too.

Anyone else happy to see the Marlins will finally be called the Miami Marlins?
When they move into their new park, they will officially be the Miami Marlins. I hate teams who take the states name, especially when there are other teams in that state. Anyone else happy to finally see this correction?
Answer: With Tampa Bay already in the state of Florida, I am happy with the approach the Marlins took. They are not "Florida's Team" and being located in Miami.......well, that just works.
But I do not mind if a team takes a state's name, as long as they are the only team in that state (with the exception of New York....a city and a state).
